the lightweight stuff is worth its but people need to remember its fragile. im carrying around the same amount plus a dog on the back. the dog dictates how much I carry, however. but this kit Paul has here is Killer and I carry the same!

I watched the precursor video to this one and could not get over the comments about the food! It amazed me that adv riders(?) would actually think you pack a week’s, two week’s, a month’s worth of food at a time on a bike! Once you leave the USA you realize that the rest of civilization actually kind of shops, buys or harvest daily what they need for chow. Excellent follow up video!

What makes this bike so great, and why it's going to be my first big bike purchase in a year or two, is because it checks all of the boxes. I'm 57 years old now, and I don't want a garage full of different bikes. This bike is great for short blasts, touring, grocery shopping, and trail riding. If anyone asks me to join them for a ride anywhere other than maybe true offroad mudding (not interested anyway), this bike is perfect. Expensive? Yes. 100K mile capability? Yes.

i remember bumpig in to here on youtube about this bike and your world kit and I totally 100% agree with you people always pack way to much shit don't like KTMsorry but I do agree your straight on simple man yet still find morons going out buying africa twin and 1250gs and shit why I have no idea unless two on a single bike there is not needed

Sand was my undoing years back when I was trying to learn how to ride dirt. I didn't have anyone skilled to learn from, and was just winging it. I lost all confidence and went back to just riding street. Now I recently moved to Arizona, and our house is literally backed up to open desert. I HAVE to get a dirt bike and take advantage of this amazing landscape. These videos are so incredibly helpful and give me hope that I can get back out there and have a better chance at success.

you forgot the best reason to hover the brake lever... if you're hovering the brake lever and some ass hat in a car makes an illegal left turn right in front of you. you're less likely to try to one up is ass-hattery and rev your engine instead of getting on the brakes and actually avoid the collision. I swear every single short i see of a motorcyclist revving then crashing... 100% of them could have been avoided if they hit the brakes instead. so dumb

1290 Ktm bike review :)

I just about did not buy these because they were too expensive. Last week I returned from a 4300 miles LA to Florida via the passes in tahoe, nevada, utah, and colorado. Frankly, I would not have been able to take this route without these hippo hands. I bought the mid size and I have handlebar warmers (tenere 700) with heavier gloves. It would be nice if they would fold down smaller when the weather allows, but they are a must have. The large size may be warmer, but the mid size make it easier for you to get in and out of the opening. Don't hesitate, if it is cold you will thank me.

Amazing and thorough explanation. Thank you! For pavement practice some parking lots have speed bumps. The heavier angled ones you can jump. The longer wider ones you can loft over.

Drills and practice loops we can do to up riding skills. There are loads of slow skills options on roads but limited resources for adv riding.

The battery argument is kinda like saying we should ride bicycles because we might run out of fuel on the motorcycle.

Build , at least , small training places . And give the cheap , not expensive $2-3 thousand , as now you do , courses . We will take them . Otherwise , it`s a cheap talk . Cheers !
