Like a dark- blue Ferrari.
Do the Testarossas that have dual side mirros have the ability to bend them in to avoid posts and such?
Like the name says BEAUTIFUL ❤
Simply magnificent. ❤
Fabulous car 👍👍
how much is the color change going to affect the value
Thanks for a great video and well explained, I learnt a lot. I have a '97 355 Challenge with the free breathing Bosch 2.7 Motronic injection, non cat, no anti pollution plumbing, no exhaust shut off valve, manual gearbox. A lot less 0:14 expensive to maintain.
Good videos 👍
11:09 Is a seriously complicated gearbox set up. However it was first generation. Will be interesting to see a comparison on the later car maybe the 430 when it has gone through two more generations as to how this works and how more efficient he had to come? You already mentioned they upgraded the pump for the 360 so it will be interesting to see how it got along to the 430 and maybe even the 599
84’ 308Gtsi is my dream care! Huge Magnum Pi fan! Getting this car up and sorted was probably $25,000 US plus. I know timing belts job is around $10,000 US itself But hey it all needed done Looks good
20 years old and looks like it’s just come straight out of the production line. You do prepare a nice car Ian.
1:41 At this stage Ian mentioned that that is this is a really good touring car. For me the 550/575 paint the picture of the quintessential Gran Turismo. Big long bonnet comfortable cabin big boot. The 812s and F12s and even the 599 and everything that followed just don’t paint the same picture. Whilst doing the same and probably even better job. This generation of Ferrari just paints the picture of the ultimate Europe crusher. Looks like it can get you anywhere comfortably in rapid time. Just driving overnight and putting in 600 miles in a few hours. Not even feeling the distance.
10:18 The icon for the final setting on the Manitino (Please feel free to correct my spelling) should just be a skull and crossbones
I think for a number of reasons they did well with this car. It’s a true GTO. It’s got all the bits and all the bells and whistles on the lightweight and everything. But it looks like a normal Ferrari 599 to the major extent. Also the interior isn’t stripped back like in an F 40 or anything like that to make it completely impractical. I know these are very very popular in Monaco, because a it’s a beast of a car, it’s an exclusive thing and that’s what Monaco is all about but mainly it’s comfortable. And usable. And can get you about Europe in no time at all in great luxurious comfort. Also with all the dynamic software and control systems etc regular man can drive this at high speed, as long as he behaves himself a little bit, and it’s not going to kill him like an F 40 would or a 288 GTO
I'm fortunate enough to own a red '97 355 Challenge. Watching this reconfirmed that I should hang on to it. I was thinking of selling it and buying a 458 Sider, also a great Ferrari.
wot would something in this condition cost to buy now 2024
I like the way these master spray painters make it look like it’s the easiest thing in the world to do. Well actually it’s probably more difficult than brain surgery to get a really good spray job done like this.
I was six in 1977. My mum had an Austin 1100. Most cars back then were like Ford Cortina Mark twos and I think mk1 fiestas etc. But most folk had a Morris minor or something like that. Or an Austin Princess. Imagine seeing one of these buggers looking like that rolling down the street. It must’ve looked like a rocket ship from outer space.
That is not a car. That is a time machine. It is only leapt forward 45 years. It’s an absolute Minter. Looks like it’s newer than when it was new
Saw a black one of these in the valet parking outside the front of Dubai Mall last year. 20 years old and it looks like it’s still from the future now
16:51 The mandatory tuppenny bit in the ashtray. Nice touch!❤
That is a fantastic beautiful car. But the fact of the matter is if that is in Knightsbridge than the parking spot it is parked on is worth probably four times the value of the car. 6 x 10 parking spots can go for £1 million no problem down there
Nice 308 but the asking price seems to be off the charts…
Can you repaint it back into silver for me please?
3:06 That 365 is immaculate! Has it been restored or is it like that from New?
2:15 Yeah I watched a thing last night where they were restoring a 512 BB in the USA. And the guy said that they never sold any of the carbureted models in America, they were all imports. So you are bang on there mate. The BBIs were sold in the USA
I LOVE THIS VIDEO REVIEW. I have always loved this Ferrari 308, I will track this if it's sold before I can purchase it. It's insanely gorgeous, thanks for posting sharing & selling.
its like an attractive girl with no skill or intelligence. only nice to look at. honda civic a better car by every measure
2:06 to 3:10
I’d have to to return it to its original silver, very nice though.
This fellow knows how to shift a Ferrari transmission. He doesn't slam the shifts. Not rushing the synchros. Slowly & deliberately and they will last forever.
I want THIS car. It’s absolutely gorgeous! 😍
Absolutely gorgeous!
I think the change to Rosso was spot on . Plus it has been meticulously serviced 😮 👌🏾
Tom Sellek called. He wants his car back. 😂😂
I'm not overly amazed that you are impressed with that beautiful paint job - after all, you did it.
What a shame it was sprayed resale red
I used to think the Dino 246 was the most beautiful, but the more time passes the more I think it's the 308 GTB.
Utterly gorgeous, but £135k for a repainted car feels a bit steep, even if it is utterly perfect.
Agree, would want a Veteroresina for that. Especially in the wrong colour
What a lovely one. Too bad it lost its original silver color.
That looks like a minter its a shame its had a colour change . In my eyes as a painter every colour looks good if painted well ,
Absolutely gorgeous 😍
My absolute favourite car ever. Didn’t even notice it didn’t have wing mirrors lol, gonna have to watch the opening credits in Magnum now to see if his had mirrors lol
Superb video. As an owner of a 1977 308 GTB for over 20 years there were so many details I could relate to when watching. Regarding the horns they were originally cast aluminum with a translucent painted finish on them. They were not anodized and it is an easy mistake to make. If you want a perfect reproduction of the red take them to an airbrush artist that specializes in race helmets or motorcycles. Those guys perfectly understand the use of candy (tinted) clear and they will be able to PEFECTLY match the original FIAMM finish as it left the factory in Mantova. As it happens I have a few dozen original FIAMM horns totally NOS and still in their original packaging so I can be absolutely sure of the colour and finish.
Such a shame to repaint it retail red - ruined! It would look so much better in its original silver
Space saver spare wheel? Beautiful glws.
You keep saying 40 years - sadly it's closer to 50 😳
I'd have left it silver but wow, what a lovely car.
Daytona 😍
Sounds soooo good 💪🚀
