That's exactly why. Proportionally, it's not equal... It would be a bigger disadvantage for Sabrina to shoot a men's ball because in addition to her not being used to it, there's also the variable of putting a bigger ball through the same size hoop. But there's not really a good way to make them shoot with the same ball, because one of them would be at a disadvantage either way. So it just makes the most sense to have them shoot with the ball that they've perfected their shots with. I also don't mind the idea of them both shooting one round each with both balls; same with line distances tbh. But the weird insistence on putting her at a disadvantage, for not even a very rational reason, is lame asf

Totally agree. I almost regret making this clip because of the type of people it's attracting. But at the same time, I do feel like there are some claims that deserve refuting, like the Gobert scenario. People just need to stop being bothered by women's sports, it's weird.

No I believe if she shot first in horse, and only if she shot first she would win as she has a great shot. But if Rudy goes first he will just dunk the ball and the game is over. Same if they play one on one. He will just dunk. Game over.

She isn't even in the WNBA yet... so what's your point? As for the college men's team, I'd probably agree; unless she was able to play a role kinda like we see Keisei Tominaga playing with Nebraska. They're the same height, he's more athletic, but she's a better shooter though. I wouldn't say that would be impossible, but it's definitely not a surefire thing.

But even if I concede that she probably wins a majority of 3-Pt or Horse competitions.. She would struggle to get open looks at an open gym run, let alone organized play. That's all before we discuss how she'd do on Defense. There's nothing wrong with celebrating good players. Especially not within the context of their restricted category of play. But it is just that, a restricted category. Start comparing to an open category and you'll start taking away from their greatness, in my opinion.

@@Ghostzapper totally fair, and again, you very well may be right. But Tominaga is already a complete negative defensively. Ig I just hesitate to rule out the possibility of her being able to be on the court as a 3pt specialist and it not feel like she's from a completely different world. But I agree, her impact would most definitely be very limited & it would be a real struggle for her to not be a net-negative, but ig my point is, there are players who play in the NCAA already that have that same description.

I mean women's bball has definitely been getting more & more popular, especially over the last couple of years; there's no denying that. It's nowhere close to men's obviously, but there is still an audience that exists & is growing. Just cuz they aren't in your immediate social circle doesn't mean they don't exist 😂

I'd prolly agree. Russ is a great player. I'm just saying there's a difference between what Jokic is doing & what even Russ did. The way Jokic puts up numbers with unreal efficiency so effortlessly without an individual agenda just makes it all the more impressive.

@hooptheory Westbrook has multiple scoring titles along with multiple assist titles Russ also only had 6 triple doubles going on his 6th season. The joker is 7 feet tall 10 rebounds and 10 points aren't really that difficult for someone with his size and playing time.

Scoring/assist titles are meant for guys like Russ. I think Jokic might be the best scorer in the league, but I'd be surprised if he ever gets a scoring title. Because there will always be someone else who's at least close to as talented, that cares far more about that title & individual stats in general. I understand how impressive the Russ rebounding numbers are. But the fact of the matter is - at his peak, you could really take off 2 to 3ish rebs per game away from him because of how much he juiced those numbers. Continually putting himself in positions to guarantee he gets more rebounds, at times even when it's to the detriment of his team winning. Also, haven't we seen way more guards get 10+ rebs than we've seen bigs get 10+ assists? I think that's more impressive, especially when those stats just come in the flow of him making the winning play, & not hunting numbers. When you factor in just one of the following: efficiency, turnovers, usage, team success, any advanced metric (offensive or defensive); or if you slightly move the goal posts on counting stats to non-round numbers that stat-padders don't aim as much for, like 9 assists instead of 10, or 39 points instead of 40, it becomes all-the-more clear that even though Russ is amazing & is an all-time great in his own right, Jokic is a tier above.

Yeah, I agree with you, that's not really what I meant by that. I'm just saying in terms of running actions, Luka runs some form of a high screen & roll & has the ball essentially the whole possession. And I was thinking more about the Mavs without Kyrie, as they haven't played a ton together yet, but even with him, he's been more of a secondary creator that they toggle to, they don't really play off of each other. That comment had nothing to do with giving more credit to Luka than Jokic or anything like that, I was just saying that the mavs consolidate too much, & that having one person play all of those roles has a major ceiling. And don't worry, I'm not the guy you need to convince that Jokic can handle things without Murray or anybody for that matter. Ik Jokic can take any 4 players & make a good offense. I just mean that pairing Jokic with a fluid shot creator/ball handler is ideal cuz he elevates that player so much & they can play off of each other in a way that's deadly.

(Top guy here) I think Luka could be as high as 1 by the end of this season. This list was supposed to be "entering the season" & I was still very close to putting him at 3. Steph, Embiid, & Luka were all on the same tier for me.

@@hooptheory That's cool. Thanks for the reply. To me, the top tier in the NBA quite obviously consists of Jokic, Giannis, Luka, and Steph. Embiid has to show more in the playoffs to me... 3 out of the 4 in my top tier are already champions, and while Luka isn't a champion yet, he's already made it farther than Embiid ever has, and Luka's never had a bad playoff series, he's 2nd in career ppg in the playoffs, and 1st in career ppg when facing elimination in the playoffs. Then you got guys like Tatum, but I think if Luka had played with that Celtics team, then he'd already be a champion.
