As someone wrote before: I couldn't sleep here, either. :-) Too many patterns, to much shining gold, high ceiling and so forth. It looks beautiful and intimidating, great artwork, no question - but I could never relax here. Thnk you so much for sharing.

Hi again, Borax lady here . I’m thinking that you probably already know this, but 100% cotton lace & fabric will take color much better than polyester lace, ( which some of the newer laces look to be) I apologize for sounding like a know it all, I’m just trying to be helpful. I’ve “inherited” a bunch a fabric dye & I went crazy dying seam binding ( I think it’s rayon) But now I really want to try avocado dying (and beet juice like Jeannie mentioned.)Good luck & keep experimenting! And yes yes yes!!! Save & hoard the lace & take it out regularly & drool over it & adore it & cherish it! What JOY!!☺

Oooooooo…. So BEAUTIFUL! As a lover & collector of old lace, I would respectfully suggest that you not put this lace in the machine. Don’t take the chance, wash it all by hand! The machine can be so rough sometimes, even on a gentle cycle. If you have Borax, you can use a tiny bit of borax ( a teaspoon or so) in some very gentle soap & water & that will get the lace VERY CLEAN. But DO NOT SOAK in the Borax, just quickly wash & thoroughly rinse. Good luck. Let me know if you want some more suggestions, altho you may already be a pro… I’ve just discovered your channel. Thanks for sharing this fabulous treasure with us!

I bought ones from an antique market a piece of that kind of paper trim as doll house wallpaper. Lenneke you have found a treasure with all that old lace, congrats! Did the lady have a shop some kind as she has those labels?

Could never sleep in a place like that. I love my little cottage with a cosy bed and a beautiful view in the morning. Drift off for the night to the sound of owls and wake in the morning to song birds. That is heaven on earth.
