Moel Y Parc - final analogue switch off, 25/11/09
Recorded using a Bauer 1004 1/4" VTR and camera, pointed at a Bush TV350 portable, the last analogue TV signals from the Moel Y Parc transmitter in north Wales, just after 12.54am on the 25th of November 2009. BBC1 (CH52), ITV (CH49) then S4C (CH42) die off, showing Graham Norton, sport and an advert for a rubbish club music CD compilation respectively. Hardly a fitting epitaph for 38 years of UHF service, "Calvin Harris", is it?
You may also note that there were no warnings, no captions, no sense of occasion, no final words. Nothing, apart from a cringeworthy 'infomercial' on S4/C, about 10 minutes beforehand. Quite different to the way final DSO has been treated in most other countries. Oh well, here's to a brave new world of digital artifacting, and repeats of repeats of repeats on 78 channels.

HH&F perform Hot Property and Harlequin on "2Gs & The Pop People" in 1972, with Tony Colton singing live over the original backing tracks. The programme features Dougie Squires' "The Second Generation" dance troupe, a spin off from his original "Young Generation" after he moved his interests from the BBC to ITV and the BBC claimed rights to the YG name.

Buzzcocks drummer John Maher set himself up as an aircooled Volkswagen repairs specialist after getting out of the music business. In the late '80s he started to gain a reputation as one of the top VW tuners in the UK, which he often proved in VW drag racing. This short feature, from a 1999 Channel 5 series, takes a brief look at John's days in the Buzzcocks as well as his VW activities. It was...

Anyway: Rescued from a dying Philips N1700 video cassette - here is the legendary Top Of The Pops performance of 'Machadaynu' from 1979. A long forgotten performance, due to the fact that it was broadcast the day after the 3-month lo...

Geoffrey, Bungle, Zippy and George appear on London Tonight to plug their (frankly ill-advised) journey into early '90s rave culture... look out!

Thanks Tony, Thony.
Tony was my brother in law and I preformed live with him and Albert Lee. I did a lot of demo work for Tony and recorded with him and a band called The Teddy Boys. Tony passed away not long ago and I miss him and my sister Penny. What a great life and memories we made.
Great synth sound! I hope it's got a burglar alarm on it because these synthesizers so expensive. YOu know crime is so bloody bad now and these bastards just steal your synthesizers.
Excellent song. ❤❤❤
What’s happening next is that I take off my headphones and go upstairs and play this through my £10,000 hifi system at huge volumes and do my weights to it. It’s the only logical response, Captain. A bit pissed off that I only just found this astonishing piece of handiwork. Thank you for creating this utter bollocks. It’s a yes from me.
This is fantastic!

would the freelance hairdresser happen to be Scissors Bentley?
That Tony Baxter would have it.
You are an expert sir.❤
lol.
Never cared much about dancing but this interaction between choreography and music is really amazing!
how have i not found this remix to my favorite bit! so good xD truly, the year 2000 will be epic
Ive had this song in my head rent free for 16 years and today i found it.
I love this!
Pete Gavin on the drums . . . . . .
Great checking out this superb video/remix again.
Sod the dancers
The best part is being able to place the countdown as very late 79/early 80
Should've cut in some synthersiser Patel.
Whatever happened to that guy that used to present TOTP? You know.. that nice chap.. the tireless charity fundraiser with those famously friendly eyes.
Fuck...
Very funny, especially the dancers in the studio. Such meaningful lyrics too. "I'm a tetron, tetron, tetron". Bob Dylan eat your heart out,
The only sign that this is a work of genius comedy and not a genuine clip from c.1980 is the lack of comments from teenagers desperately seeking affirmation, saying how much they love music from this era and none of their friends do.
Wow still online! I watched this years and years ago ❤❤
This is epic!
Wow! This is so AWESOME! Grinning from ear to ear! These characters are so beloved to me. The dance track alone was great, but to see them just "hanging out" in "real life" to promote the track is flipping amazing! What tickles me the most is the utterly bizarre crossover from fictional children's characters, to real-life celebrities promoting a song for adults. :D And Geoffrey Hayes, what a sweet man, inviting the interviewer to go on tour with them. Bless him. Oh, to sit at that table! I LOVE RAINBOW! :-) Wish this interview had lasted two hours - imagine how bizarre the conversation might have got by the end LOL Thanks for the upload! Great channel!

Congratulations, you completed music. Everyone else needs to stop now.
My life is totally different to what it was 4 minutes ago.
Back when you could hum a tune and dance to it,
Somehow this makes want to get rappity-rappin'
Ironic that Buzzcocks did that song " Fast Cars"(fast cars, fast cars, I hate fast cars)!
I don't know about this remix, I just don't know.
I'm sorry but I prefer the ORIGINAL .....🤔 Its DELICATE tones were so ROMANTIC and had such SARTORIAL ELEGANCE. lol
Bootstrap paradox.....
Just a few glimpses of Chas Hodges. Albert one of the best guitarists ever.
Albert Lee played the part of the guitar solo on the first solo album by Jon Lord, Gemini Suite, 1971
fuckin rubbish not funny cancel your internet subscription.....and do it now
This video was uploaded a week before sound cloud was founded
I'm very old...
It was just weird that this included a soundcloud link
Incredible
There is literally nothing to hate about this song, and everything to love about it. Long live Tony Rudd.
The christmas number one of our hearts
One of my dad's favourite bands, so I grew up to them. Love this song, love Albert Lee & Chas Hodges - and the rest of the band. This is quite possibly the weirdest video Ive ever seen though - I guess it was the 70's! 🤣
Still pops off in 2022
I was like, yeah this mix sounds 00's as hell, THEN I SAW THE UPLOAD DATE. woah. 2022 and i remember this vaguely from adult swim, saw the remix and sent it.
Genius
