Amazing dance, amazaing editing amazing costume!!! The smoke transition is magical!

I found many people do not understand the evolution that is "tribal fusion". That it is a mixture of many different dance styles and the culture that those different dances come from. I understand that there are roots to this art form that have true value but to discredit the modern spirit that has taken belly dancing to a more universal level is today's authenticity. If this evolution did not happen then the knowledge, movement and spirit of the past could not live and be lost in the past to die to become forgotten. Let women evolve. Let the goddess thrive through them. Let them be appreciated and adored by those whose hearts are captured by them to be devoured sweetly. For death will never be as kind in the end. Women are sensual as men are powerful. Don't destroy the true path in how families are truly made.

What I didn’t know I needed!!!!!

Although this is artistic, it is highly 'stylised', sexualised etc and I very much doubt that authentic tribal style belly dancing would be anything like this at all. For starters, for Tribal belly dancing style, they wear a different sort of costume, typically, more like a dress than what other styles use eg veils, harem pants etc. And, though it celebrates eomanhood, fertility etc, I am told, it is not intended to be dome k8ndvof western style erotic, exotid dance like is done at 'gentlemen's strip clubs' etc. I once saw a brilliant older female belly dancer at a Melbourne Middle Eastern restaurant do her show. She was a mother of several children. All of thrm, as well as her husband and their fsmilies were present as she entertained with her spectacular moves. The young Anglo man I was out with was shocked and said to me'This terrible... Adult acts like that in front of children...' But, to the people there, it was just 'family entertainment'. When it was over, her dance belt had many $50 notes put there by admiring audience. Her husband then stpped out, proudly acknow3dge his wife as a good dancer, thanked people for the money they pinned on her and she went back to eating, serving food etc to guests. Then she sat down, still in her dance veils, bare belly etc and her children vlimbed sll over her, laughing and playing with her hair etc. It was such a joyful gathering. But my Anglo friend was utterly sovked sbout the 'bad morals' of having children see such exotic dance acts. I, too thought it odd, but kept an open mind because there might be cultural things that I, as a white EuroAussie might be ignorant of,being from a different culture from them.
