had a bunch of soft strikes on a mrx bison in 223. when i got it back after they adjusted the headspace i noticed they had scratched it when working on it . they told me they dont have paint kits and then left me on read for a week. terrible customer service

KA or LA? If you’re asking LA102 in 223 I’d say go for it!!! They make great rifles full stop, been supplying defence with 223/5.56 for decades. Possibly look at the SCSA Taipan if you’re thinking 223 also. I have a review of mine you might find helpful. As far as optics go, I swear by my Burris Droptine

contemplating replacing the stock with ar type buffer, the factory one is surprisingly functional and works albeit heavy.. id like to shave a few pounds again from the gun.

I picked one up a few weeks ago, and it is a very new serial number. Have fired over 20 boxes of different ammo, both 223 and 556, and have not had a single light strike. It has the new 1:8 barrel, has no issues ejecting shells, and zero light strikes, even with military style primers. I really believe they have fixed the issues, but very unfortunate you had such a bad experience. It really is my favourite rifle to shoot

1st I believe this is chambered for 5.56 nato, not 223? Unless it's 223 wylde. Do you have issues with 5.56? 2nd after misfire there's a safe practice of waiting a bit before extracting round tapping primer side down onto table. Just an observation....

Thanks for your comments mate, it’s sold as a 223 not 556. IRT your comment on waiting for the round to “cook off” you are correct but given its not faulty ammo I felt pretty safe. I do appreciate you taking a look at my video though.

Talked to my buddy has the same rifle 16" barrel and his IS chambered in 5.56 nato 1:8 machined on the barrel. Strange yours is 223, he did have to add a supplied shim at the bolt firing pin due to light strikes. Hasn't had an issue since, but he has not tried a variety of ammo
