leaving L1 (first person) gives you a single frame of a kind of pseudo-grounded state, where you, for example, can throw a turret and get the grounded throwing animation or start a charge. You can not, however, jump from this grounded state. So what you do is, is buffer one of the R1 inputs for the charge just before entering first person (you can see me spamming R1 before the initial charge ends on the input display). This buffered R1 input lasts until you let go of L1. If you time an R1 input the frame after you release l1, you will get a charge in midair as I did. Tldr R1 -> L1 -> release L1 -> R1 1 frame later What are you planning on using this for btw?

@@Pentali this glitch was only discovered only a year ago holy cow i i idn't know that yeah the rilgar glitch on 1 wasn't discovered until the game came to PS3 & PS Vita 2012

@Pentali this planet was 7 min long and the ice planet has a strat to fly over the ravine and instantly start the turret segment, before again flying back over the ravine

A new mod that replicates ps2 black label movement on ps3. This allows for wrench swings out of the end of a charge among other things

The segments that are skipped add up to about 5:50

@@Pentali with that timing, seeing your 2.0 version's runtime... if that route was RTA viable, the meme may not be dead yet. Pokiskip could be a genuine improvement to the any route. The challenge is to find an run viable version that loses less than 1m30

The thing is, some people (mainly me and a runner called ataappi) have done it in runs. Though I don't think anyone's gotten it fast enough to actually save time yet. Check out my ng+ packless pb, and you'll find it. It saves much more in ng+ packless since there's no timeless due to all the planets being slower

its doable with a bit of practice. the most difficult one is the one where you sideflip up the stairs. (if you plan on trying it, remember to press l1 when canceling that charge so that you get the high sideflip)

You can manipulate the file on ps3 so that when you take out the first chunk of dreks health it triggers the cutscene that auto equips the thrusterpack. With that its possible to finish the game.

Its a segmented run, so its a bunch of clips spliced together. I always try to make them as seamless as possible, and it seems like i have succeeded seeing as you only noticed 2 out of like 20 or 30

Funny thing really. In rac2 ng+ qe, it's literally aranos --> yeedil. It was so boring they deleted it from the boards

the game never actually checks for o2 mask ouside of orxon (and when youre in water). So all planets where you would use it, such as gemlik and fleet, are the exact same as if you had picked up the mask

I think it's because of the way we get the Thruster Pack. We die to him before the run starts, which then allows us to get the Thruster Pack during the fight

It does. Doing everything optimally, that being mainly first try setupless proxies + a difficult strat on veldin 2 because we don't have thrusterpack, should save about 50 seconds. But it's much harder than the normal route

Rac1 actually doesn't have qe because "quitting the game doesn't make the loaded save counter set to -1" (according to isaki). Rac2 did have an ng+ qe category, but no one played it because it was really boring so it got removed (literally just started your ng+ file on yeedil and played a single planet)

That's a dust hover. We don't really know why it works, but the game basically thinks you're on the ground. You can even do things like jump or wrench swing out of it

This already saves time over the combined comgolds of the planets that are skipped. However, it also entails a lot of randomness compared to the normal route. But finding the right setups and maybe a better way to get to position 3 could potentially make this the standard route

The magnerail proxy and the last proxy into the magneboot room are still not completely figured out. But the only real threats are the birds, the proxy from infobot position 2 to 3, and maybe the first magnerail proxy. So I'd say it's about 7/10 in difficulty, where it'd be possible to do it in a single segment if you put enough time to practice and also get a bit lucky. But getting it to actually save time in a run is a different beast
