Though I knew and loved some Roxy Music decades ago, I got to this song via an old "home" video of Japan's bass player Mick Karn trying to eat while also singing along to part of this song. Notably NOT David Sylvian. ;) A happy random discovery.

I agree with that last sentence. It's always a mistake to someone on a pedestal. We're ALL human. We all have good and bad sides. I love Dylan's music but expect he has his good and bad moments like the rest of us.

Many thanks for posting. Roxy Music were a great band..1982 was a great year for the band. I remember them well, I was 13-years-old.

Such a great song and recording. For another version, check out Phil Manzanera's Sound of Blue Band live, when Sonia Bernardo was doing the vocals on that tour. It's on video, and Sonia's vocals are dynamic next to Phil's guitar work.

This is the best version of Van Halen. They had good songs with David Lee Roth, but Sammy Hagar is 10 times the better singer than him. If Eddie Van Halen could have kept his ego in check who knows how much farther they could gone. It wasn’t fair the treatment that Michael Anthony received. He deserved a lot better. He seems like awesome person to be around. Credit to Sammy for keeping him around. This is an underrated video because there is more guitar than there is singing. The song Sammy shines on Right Now.

They were clearly just both doing their best to be witty while on lots of drugs. The only negative emotion happening in this whole thing is that it there were a few uncomfortable silences between attempts at making a joke.
