We are Andrew, a nurse from the UK and Carol-Ann, a teacher from Canada. We found each other in Doha, Qatar 5 years ago and have been married for 2 years. We have had a lot of great adventures over the years, and our next one will be heading back to Canada to buy a home! But never fear, we still plan to have more adventures to come! On this channel you'll encounter travel, food, and photography videos from the perspectives of a boomer and a Gen X'er! We'd love it if you follow along for the ride.
Adventures on the Cabot Trail
We had an unforgettable 3-day trip around Cape Breton! We explored charming Cheticamp, took in the breathtaking views at Cape North, and visited historic Baddeck. We hiked the iconic Skyline Trail, indulged in delicious local cuisine, enjoyed live music, discovered arts and crafts, and immersed ourselves in the rich local history. We experienced stunning landscapes and cultural delights on Nova Scotia's picturesque Cape Breton Island.

We spent four days at the Oblu Select Lobigili resort (Apparently it means 'Love Island'). We chose the resort mainly because it was just a very short boat transfer from the airport - that saves a lot of time and money - you can spend hours and up to $750 each on plane transfers! I will visit Cabot trail in September. Are we allowed to fly drones in Cape Breton national park?
Everything we read said that within park boundaries-no drones, and could be $25,000 fine if caught.

I enjoyed your video. I live in Sydney, about a 2 hour drive from the Cabot trail. It is my most favorite place on earth, but its been years since i have made the trip. I use to camp alot and make day trips when possible. So good to see some familiar and favorite places. Thanks for posting

A 6 oz lobster roll is 40-$60 in Boston, so $37 is pretty good. You should have tried a picnic style, it’s phenomenal! 😊 next time go to the Diamond St location where I did my review and you could get the flight of 3 mini rolls to discover other styles🦞

Hi, great video and you looked beyond relaxed after the massages! Regarding the connecting island, you mentioned you can go over or they can come over. With the island you were on being an adult only resort, am I right to assume only adults can come over to the island you were staying on? Thanks!
Children could only come over to Oblu Lobigili to dine at the Only Blu underwater restaurant. They were not allowed to hang out on the island/pool/beaches at Oblu Lobigili. Only at Ailafushi.
