From Alphonses "Mind Transplant" a real jazz-rock gem. Living in the past ! Yeah !
Terry Kath 😢R. I. P.
👏👏👏👏👏👍
OMG great Master
This is the example of entertainment of a wonderful jazz orchestra. Ray Charles is for me the greatest next to Nat King Cole of american music in the last century. Thanks this is fantastic.
Yessss 👌 👌 👏👏
I can look up anything Vinnie drummed on and know in advance that it sounds good 😎 this guy had it all. Such a good thing that they convinced him to pick up his drumsticks again 💪🏻
There's no need for music playing in the background.
19:47 fabuleux !
Page is such an under-appreciated player with great feel and phrasing. And he sounds so good with Smith. Wish there were more recordings of this trio!
Min favorit! <3
Both sound and camera work got to be some of the best live recording from the era! The camera work especially is super fresh. Everyone doing live music video should look at this. Could do with less close ups, but some of the medium shots is spectacular! Feels like being there. Kriko looks like Jim Gordon here!
So much talent!
Will there ever be another?
Show maravilhoso especular, jazz prog fusion dá melhor qualidade. 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Found this info in an another music group: ARILD ANDERSEN QUARTET | In Concert Live at Molde Jazz Festival Molde Kino, Molde, Norway August 1975 Arild Andersen made his ECM debut as member of the Jan Garbarek Quartet along with Terje Rypdal and Jon Christensen on Afric Pepperbird. In the same period he also worked with Norwegian singer Karin Krog and played in the rhythm section for visiting American musicians such as Phil Woods, Dexter Gordon, Hampton Hawes, Johnny Griffin, Sonny Rollins and Chick Corea. In 1974 Andersen formed his own quartet, which toured Scandinavia and Europe and recorded three albums for ECM. In 1980 Andersen put together a band that included Kenny Wheeler, Paul Motian and Steve Dobrogosz (Lifelines) and the following year recorded A Molde Concert with Alphonse Mouzon, Bill Frisell and John Taylor. In 1982 he formed The Arild Andersen Quintet with Jon Christensen, Jon Balke, Tore Brunborg and Nils Petter Molvær. The band subsequently changed its name to Masqualero and remained at the forefront of European jazz for a decade. Subsequently Andersen has explored the possibility of combining traditional Norwegian folk music with improvised music. In 1988, he started a collaboration with singer Kirsten Braaten Berg, a leading Norwegian folk musician, which led to the successful work Sagn, premiered in 1990 and later released by ECM. In 1998 he formed a trio with German trumpeter Markus Stockhausen and French percussionist Patrice Heral. This trio, with Terje Rypdal as a guest, made a CD called Karta, released in 2000. In 1999 Andersen started a new trio with English drummer John Marshall and the Greek pianist Vassilis Tsabroupolos, which released two discs: Achirana (2000) and The Triangle (2004). A work commissioned in 2005 for a duo with saxophonist Tommy Smith, Independency, led to the formation of his most recent trio with Paolo Vinaccia on drums and Smith on saxophone. This trio made a live recording at the club Belleville in Oslo in the autumn of 2007. ECM released the following year as Live at Belleville. It got rave reviews and this trio, which performs worldwide, remains Arild Andersen’s main project today. Of their 2014 release, Mira, the Sunday Herald reviewer wrote: “Andersen's tone has always been a thing of beauty and his playing here is by turns robustly supportive, subtly suggestive and pliantly probing”. Tracklist: 00:00 Water Eye 09:35 So Far 17:15 Song For A Sad Day 30:10 The Sword Under His Wings Arild Andersen - double bass Knut Riisnæs - tenor and soprano saxophones Jon Balke - piano Pål Thowsen - drums
Fantastic! You can FEEL the great Spirit of New York City in Thads brilliant writing. Beautiful solos by Thad, Snooky and Jerome..and great lead trumpet by AL Porcino..holding his horn up and projecting both Soul and Spirit most respectfully..Vaughn 🎺
The James Brown esk back beat kept in pace with the feet of Jimmy Smith. That's together ! To say the least.
In ogni caso concerto eccezionale, unico!
Grymt
The greatest then and now -- mighty Billy Harper!
Great organic 💓😁

Fine tune.. groove yard.....great solos....
Featuring Jimmy Knepper, trombone, on the opener 'Willow Weep for Me', with Jiri "George" Mraz on bass and Thad on flugelhorn.
Naw…
I lost my 2 biggest idols in 1987 in April Buddy Rich on the 2nd and my grandfather on the 7th … both were truly irreplaceable men in the world they gave the world a gift which most people will never have the opportunity to…
Met Jerry Dogian in Boca Raton, fla at Michael Fagin's daughter' wedding. I was in the wedding party band led by Tony Nicolosi. Jerry came up to me on a break, complemented me and the band for sounding so good without charts. Asked me my name and i asked his. My jaw hit the ground. Boy did the band sober up and fly right the last top 40 dance set!!
Cliff was a maniac! He could outblow the entire band. Saw in the fall of 1969 at the Vanguard sitting a a tiny table right next to him. Got to read his "book" the whole night! Also in the section Don Sebesky, eddie bert and jimmy cleveland. Amazing orchestra. Alan Grant did the introduction to the band on the Monday night album!
🚬🤠 dang no translations , sounds cool 🚬😎
wonderful - EARTH WIND AND FIRE
Not bad, but not what I was hoping for.
They better be good after all that self gratification
their all badass!
the bass player is kickn it!
fck oath this band rocks!
Steve Gadd was right when he said about Buddy Rich. "He was in a place all by himself"....
BRAVO !!!
Howland, after Terry Kath, is the best guitar player for Chicago.

Wow, Elis sings in German, love it.
Ridiculous!! I can see Steve Gadd solving math equations in his head while playing, lol. What a master!
