I'm doing a little something different in this video, the Zero Turn needed some new tires. While most people might elect to replace the wheels/tires together, or take them to a shop to be replaced, I show how this can be done by yourself at home with basic tools. I hope this helps someone who might need to do the same job have the confidence to give it a try.

How To: Save Your Vehicle From Salt And Winter! The Fluid Film Tutorial
Good resource! Just did a full stereo build in my GR so it's nice to see people posting their solutions to a very sub-par audio system. Tip: should just disconnect the neg bat terminal instead of worrying about bumping a hot wire. Takes 5 seconds. Really should be done for any audio work.
You hand tightened the stud in? Is it flush behind the hub? I used an impact gun and still couldn’t get it flush the way the factory stud is.
@@murk4545 Yes. The studs are in all the way. I was able to tighten them down and you can tell when they are all the way in because they get really hard to tighten any more. We also retorqued the lug nuts after a few miles to make sure everything was solid
It sounds close to a Derelict project. Jay Leno had a 1948 buick on his show that they call a Derelict style.😊
Are you sure you don't want to keep the original patina?
Nice
Met your father tonight and he told me about your channel.
That's great! He is a wonderful man!
@@teamturner4300 He sounds like one.
I had the exact same problem - even managed to break one of the T20 screws holding the sensor housing and connected the sensor wrong (according to the writing on the sensor which is wrong). There is a method to replace the sensor with one in a turbo distributor - haven't done that yet.
I looked into doing that, it is definitely possible as the turbo distributor has the sensor internally, the wiring isn't even that hard. That sensor in the distributor isn't as accurate/precise as the one behind the crankshaft pulley. At the end of the day I decided to just replace the defective sensor
Brilliant video! Seems you didn't have to bother with a CAT - but there still is an oxygen sensor. Is that a special version?
Decent effort, i have 4 clarion radios and none of them work, did the fibreglass whale tail come from Australia ?
Congratulations on the awards! Had a great time, see you at the next show!!!!
Thanks man! It was great hanging out again!
💙💙💙
💙💙😏
Thanks for the guide :) Is it much harder/more effort to pull the hub out of the front rather than bending the dust shield?
Thank you! And yes, pulling the hub is significantly more work.
Great project for you and Dad, looking forward to watching the progression of this project!
Use C-clamps to break the bead.
Thats a great tip!
thats a rare car in very original condition
I love Chevies and four doors. I own a 63 Belair my Dad bought in 1966 and a 63 Impala (in Minnesota waiting for my holidays trips) and a 63 Corvair Monza as well: 4 Four doors are much more practical if you have a family. This car is not molested a lot. And a beautiful color and interior as well. I love stuff original. Those 6 cylinders are very bullet proof. I think you can make it running. If you put a modern engine in it it will be a modern junk in an old shell. That will destroy a perfect survivor in my book.
New to the channel, great video!
Thank you so much!
Why build one, when you can get a OEM one?
This was cheaper and sounds/flows way better than oem.
@@teamturner4300 The original exshaustsystem performt match bytter, and cost my bytter ceeper than atermarket. Saab 900 turbo are picky about exshaust-system!

Love the Volvo...You ever consider selling it?...I'm a Saab guy (own a 1986 SPG), but always wanted to own a Volvo Wagon...
Drag racing lights! 😋
It's a Saab story! 😋
I love how Happy the Saab 900 makes you. U just light up when talking about it 😊
Thank you! And you're right, I am pretty proud of this one.
It would be awesome if you had extra links to all the products that you use to make our lives easier
I love that van! That blue mood lighting looks like you're doing a transmission install inside a strip club.
It makes even the least enjoyable tasks that much more fun 😊
Nice work! Glad it's back together!
Subbed and I hit the Bell J.
I very much appreciate that!

There is so much useless space under boot floor mat, suby would be a cleaner fit with deadening and secure best as possible and boot space not comprised.
Good shots, I have the Miata cart.
Thanks! I loved watching that thing. It rips!
How's the drone on the highway at about 80 mph?
I would say it's a 5/10. It's definitely audible and louder than stock, but it's not unbearable.
Good job on the video man, music is far too loud though.
What’s the exhaust and where did you get the louvres from please?
I built the exhaust myself in a previous video. And the louvers are old "shadow louvers" that were on a different 900 I bought 10 years ago or so. They are only available second hand now and getting very hard to find
This will be a cool event to go to more often
I definitely plan to go more often
Thank you for sharing
I really loved this video! A great car and great video production as well! You will love this car forever. Since you rebuilt it on your own, it will be in your garage until you die! I cannot give up my OG900 despite the rusty body. I love the way it drives. Interesting how yours looks like a SPG but it is only a base model dressed up? It looks great!
Thank you so much! 😀. I love this car as well. Rust can usually be fixed hope you can enjoy yours for years to continue! I have no plans to ever let mine go. As for the appearance, you are correct, it started as a base model, no spoiler, no sunroof, nothing. I have added the SPG side panels, whale tail, and Aero wheels. Still the timid 2.1 n/a however
I know the fronts were short, but I thought the rears were ok. They'd even be more ok if you removed the rear spacers if using aftermarket wheels
I had a 1998 9-3 2 door hatchback. The only thing I didn’t like was that it didn’t have centre armrests, same as my convertible. I bought a set of centre armrests from Italy. Much better now.
Thank you for the video. I have a 2023 Corolla sedan and the wireless charger is one of the biggest let downs for me. Just picked up the part and going to install soon. Great video!! 🤙🏼
Thank you! Glad it was helpful!
Man those Aero wheels really bring out the look of this car. And dont be fooled! The 2.1 isnt a slouch either!
Thank you! Yeah its not really too bad at all!
When I bought my first newish 900 30 years ago it was such a big car then I bought one a couple of years ago and it's the smallest in the car park , oh that's in the UK. So it must look tiny in the US , but still one of the comfiest cars to be in . Looks good have fun.
I’ve got the same wheels on my 91 SPG. What size tire did you put on? I’ve got 205/45 Bridgestones. Handles well, but giving up a bit of sidewall makes an already firm suspension hit a bit harder on uneven road surfaces.
These are 195/50/16. Seems to be the happy medium. Has a decent sidewall, but doesn't rub.
Primes me to do some projects on my ‘91 SPG before summer.
I’ve been slowly tinkering with my 1991 900 SPG for the past 10 years to get everything working and the way I want it. My intermittent central locking problem was a bad ground. Cleaned it up and everything was good.
I suspect the same thing, or a loose connection somewhere. I'll have to dive back in and figure it out soon. These cars are worth the effort though
I would go for a do88 rad and hose kit. :)
Generally I agree. This is a budget project, however, and being a completely stock 2.1. OEM style should be just fine. If I was building a turbo though... 😏
Nice work 😀
Where did you tap into for power? For amp to turn on and off?
The amp we used did not need a turn on wire. It has a cool feature where it automatically powers up once it gets an input signal through the RCA cables.
I'm just using an LOC that creates the on/off signal, not sure what else to use. I don't have the wiring diagram on hand but if you can find an ACC power line by the amp I believe that should work too.
What springs are those? Theyre purple....the only company that made purple springs were Intrax...which later they.made them red. Any Info on those?
Good eye! They are old Intrax springs circa 2010 or possibly earlier.
@@teamturner4300 Confirmed! The still make these but they are now red. I have a set of the red ones!
Great to know they are still made!
I have a beryl green 900 spa and it's one of 109 made in that color. I fixed it after it sat for about 13 years because of a bad slave cylinder that my uncle didn't want to deal with. It's an awesome car and I look forward to making it perfect. I have a question about interior parts. The switch housing for the headlights on my car rotates with the switch and I was wondering the best way to fix that.
Thats awesome! I love low production cars and the Beryl is definitely a special one. As for the headlight switch, they usually rotate because the tabs on the switch itself break off allowing the switch to spin. Replacement of the switch is really the only fix. Its the same switch for the 900, 9000, and I believe even the ng900, and og9-3. Junkyards are your friend or FCP. Best of luck with your project!
As the owner of a 1991 900 SPG having owned numerous Saabs over 40 years, the original muffler tip was a single oval (centered in the bumper cut-out), but there were Saab Sports exhausts that were available back in the day - which might still be found today - that were twin tip stainless steel units.
The OG twin tip stainless exhausts are fantastic. This being a 2.1 car, looks like it was just replaced with something cheap in the past.
that is the oem factory 2" exhaust.
From about the firewall back was not OEM. It had been replaced at some point. The diameter was closer to 1.75". All of the new exhaust is 2.25"
