Kirsty MacColl & Marshall Crenshaw - All I Ever Wanted (demo)
A fragment of Kirsty and Marshall's demo circa 83/84. Kirsty recorded her vocal harmonies on top of the (presumably 4-track tape) backing track that Marshall sent her in the post. There's a gap in the tape so I presume there is a chunk missing.

Written by Judee Sill prior to her signing with Asylum Records. Sill met John Beck of The Leaves in 1966 via her then husband Bob Harris and played him "Dead Time Bummer Blues", a song she had written while awaiting trial. Beck took the song to fellow band mate Jim Pons who was equally impressed and they decided to record the song with the help of Bob Harris (piano) and legendary jazz drummer E...

Husker dû were great live saw them with the Dead Kennedys
in the 1970's most establishments would let you skate on the no shirt, no service policy if you had a giant beard and long feathery hair

Is that Steven Hyde from That 70's Show at the 0:42 mark?
One of the best renditions of Queen & The Soldier I have ever heard. She mastered that guitar so that it sang the lilting bits and also hit the harder bits so perfectly. She sang every word like she meant it while maintaining immaculate guitar work. Spectacular. Not my favourite version of In Liverpool however. That song works so much better when it is pared back. Her alone with guitar & that voice, maybe some minimal strings. It is such a goosebump of a song but not the right one to turn into a jazz-rock jam. IMHO.
Still have the original vhs 1&2 💜
Hay que disfrutarlo como es, sin estar pensando a qué se parece
Is this remastered?? The quality is really great
Cobain and Grohl must have really dug this deeply...same attitude etc etc similar personalities
Love Grant Hart RIP. Wonderful musician and songwriter
RIP Dickey Betts
YA know what I liked about Bob? His loyalty to that Flying V.
Vastly influencial and, as far as I'm concerned, blows aways all influenced by them.
Agreed

I didn't know that they ever played "Recurring Dreams" live, let alone actually pulled it off! That IS impressive! On the other hand, it is kind of a tedious blowjob of a song. Sounds like Marillion.
There's a knot of about eight to ten blokes trying to mosh and everyone else is like "We're here for the harmonies, you fucking cunts!"🤣
Now warren hayes slide

End of the era when the Brothers were one of the best on the planet.Aand this is one of their best often overlooked numbers.
Salah 1 nenek moyang PUNK
I would say more descendent of Punk and an ancestor of Alternative.
The Allman Brothers Band inspired me to pick up a guitar at age 13 in 1973, after hearing Paul Butterfield Blues Band on FM radio I was hooked on the sound! Eventually I with several friends created a band, a cover band where we tried to replicate the sounds of the Allman Brothers, Marshall Tucker, Lennard Skyndard and alll the "Southern Rock Bands " Over the years back then, I' had seen in person the ABB 27 times in my lifetime and THIS is the crescendo of this song by both Warren Haynes and Dicky (Sorry Derek Trucks, you will NEVER be as good as Warren Haynes) playin slide guitar and I don't care if you are Derek Trucks kid, you can't play slide like Warren Haynes!!! It is a shame that your father Pressured the ABB into forcing you into a lead position when Warren Haynes is WAY BETTER THAN YOU! You are a Snotty little wanna be! And this video proves it, You could never perform Blue sky likre Warren Haynes in this video and your Interpretation is just crap! Instead of relegating Warren Haynes playing 2nd fiddle you should acknowledge he is way better than you and embrace him into the new generation of the ABB or your tedeshi Trucks band. But you won't do it, because you are a privileged self righteous little C$%t. Actually in my best days when I was younger, I could out slide guitar you! I am sorry to have to write this on this video, Dickey and Greg inspired me to pick up an ax and play. NO ONE to day can play slide like Warren Haynes, except the dead, Duane...
👏👏👏no words needed
I bought the album in Germany right after hearing Calling Occupants. Never once thought that they sounded like the Beatles
RIP ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND
