Everything is just amazing

Hi George - unless I've missed it, you may have missed Williamsburg Ma in your travels. We have don't even have a stop light except for a road crossing so most people going west from Northampton just keep going. But if you go down the side streets you will see a large collection of beautiful Victorian homes, and some of the best hiking in Massachusetts. The General Store has some delicious pastries, ice cream and all the candy you might remember from your childhood. Across the street the Williamsburg Market can set you up with soups and sandwiches, fresh vegetables and assorted wine. Next door is Tangle Chocolate for hand crafted chocolate gifts, drinks and snacks.

Aren't the Berkshires just so lovely in the summer? Just gorgeous. I like western Mass, and also the Catskills. That shot of a Great Barrington field was beautiful.

One of my bucket list trips is the hike to the falls from Copake State Park in New York.

As someone who lives just outside of Boston and has been to New Hampshire and the White Mountains, I have found I much more enjoy going out to the Berkshires and have been doing this many years. Folks here go north and never even think of the Berkshires. The Berks are not really mountains but more so very big hills and standing in the right spots you can see for miles. Fall is a fantastic time to see color as you can see for miles. I usually drive west on Route 2 to Williamstown and explore south from there. Mount Greylock is a superb view when viewing from the war memorial there. Your videos are excellent.

George’s passion for the Berkshires is on full display in this video, and it’s understandable as this is a county of high culture and lovely landscapes. It’s great to see this enthusiastic traveler back in the jewel of the Commonwealth.

Dude that was great. Lived in Northampton 1995-2002…. Loved every second of it! Bringing back great memories

Truth be told, I’ve now watched the North Shore video at least a half-dozen times, and I’m sure that I’ll turn to it again and again in the near future. Why? I’m struck by the distinctive, up-tempo cool jazz soundtrack that is a perfect complement to George’s attractive visuals and historically relevant asides. This video works especially well as one prepares dinner and cranks up the volume on the IPad. Don’t stop traveling, George!

What a perfectly lovely tribute to one of the Commonwealth’s lesser known regions. With his usual low-key presence, fitting musical accompaniment, and occasional facts and insights about the Quabbin and its environs, George has once again demonstrated why Massachusetts is number one of 50 in terms of history, culture, and scenery.

It’s no surprise that George is a fan of the Pioneer Valley as it is indeed one of the state’s most scenic regions. It also no surprise that George once again skillfully uncovers the region’s many attractions in this leisurely and inviting video.

Nice shots at Horseneck Beach, definitely captured the feeling of being there and some of my favorite spots too.

George sees Massachusetts with a true sense of discovery. When he reaches the geographical center of the state - a modest sign marks the spot in Rutland - his reaction is one of pure joy. It’s hard not to share in his enthusiasm, and it’s what makes this series special.

I’m sure that I can’t be alone when I say that, when finished traveling throughout Massachusetts, George should do a companion series on the great and incredibly picturesque state of New Hampshire.

There’s a gentle, calming quality to George’s visits to the Berkshires.
