Since 1973, Confederation Park 55+ Activity Centre has played a vital role in the lives of ALL adults, 18 years and over. Our mission is to connect adults, aging adults and seniors, enhancing their lives with opportunities to stay active and engaged in recreational and social services programs.
Confederation Park 55+ Activity Centre is based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Our centre is a volunteer-driven, non-profit organization working to help adults 18+, aging adults, and seniors, reap the benefits of an active lifestyle.
The Centre provides a vibrant and stimulating atmosphere for maintaining and enhancing the mental and physical well-being of all Calgary’s adults, 18 years and over. Members enjoy a variety of dance, music, art, technology and exercise classes taught by some of the top instructors in the city. Member Clubs satisfy many interests and create a lot of laughter and fun.

Addressing Mental Health at 55+ Activity Centres

My regular gym, where I did aerobics a couple times a week for over 20 years, closed right around when the pandemic hit. Nothing else I liked in my town. Searched on line and Paula has been the standout for me for the past few years. I'm 77 and starting my day (whenever I can) with Paula gives me energy for the day, and keeps me happy and healthy. Great pacing, just the right amount of words, inclusive and non judgmental. I do my whole routine with 2 lb. weights and yes, I am very careful. Judith in Greenfield Massachusetts.

i’m not a senior, i’m actually in my early 20s, but i unfortunately have numerous health issues. so… a lot of exercises and activities meant for seniors are helpful for me to make progress.
I'm not a senior either. I just like to watch how older people move. It's so inspirational when I see seniors who have better mobility than some people in their 20s. It's the definition of aging gracefully and I love to see it.
