Sidious would have been screwed, Dooku was the face of the separatist faction. He had to survive. It was for that reason that when he saw he was going to lose he put Anakin and Obi-Wan in jeopardy so he could escape.

to my knowledge i may be wrong but phase 2 armor while lighter was weaker than phase one armor which was why rex welded in his phase 1 chest plate to his phase 2 armor, it was by no means better than phase one though it did have some upsides, main reasons for the change were it being cheaper, lighter as phase 1 armor was a couple hundred pounds i think, and it was fitted for each soldier making it more comfortable unlike the mass produced phase 1

I also like to think that Anakin would be very happy upon finding out that slavery is illegal in most countries on Earth including in the United States and that many people hate slavery just like he does. Remember Anakin was formerly enslaved himself and he famously dreamed of going back to Tantoinne and freeing all of the slaves there so he would probably be very happy with that new found knowledge. I also like to think that he would have a deep respect and appreciation for famous abolitionists such as Frederick Douglass and Harriet Tubman but specifically those who had been formerly enslaved which of course included Frederick Douglass and Harriet Tubman due to how they like Anakin had formerly been enslaved but were able to escape and were able to play a key role in helping abolish slavery in the United States and how they fought for human rights.

1. Obi-wan didn't know if those laser gates would incinerate his body or not. 2. There's a giant hole at the end of the room. Even if Obi-wan ran past the final gate, he'll be unable to stop himself from slipping and falling to his death. Qui-Gon was doomed no matter what Obi-wan had done.
