I watched this performance in awe when it aired - and felt a little sorry for any performers coming afterwards. It was a metaphorical mic-drop moment that should have closed the whole show. A reminder that the voice is truly an instrument & that it takes 1000s of hours of hard work to develop the control that Nicole Scherzinger displayed here. Powerful, mesmerising. And of course huge respect for Lang Lang's skills on the piano playing so beautifully to accompany her voice.

I watched another vid of hers singing Phantom years back. holy moly. It's been a long road for her, it seemed, but it's good to see that she's finally getting the recognition she deserves. Her vocals are extraordinary. I got teary and goosebumps. Bravissima!
