I recall going to Edmonton and trying to find Heritage Mall (because we had been there a few times). Couldn't believe that it was actually gone. Kind of thought that Eaton's going out of business was the likely cause of the mall no longer existing.

Or how about you tear that stadium down and build a brand new stadium with half the capacity and have a stack seating design, so the fans are way closer to the action

I believe ignoring the youngsters for decades is the cause. Every child who is now a NFL or basketball fan. They won't be coming in except for concerts.

The whale statue belongs in a little pool of water, but just being on the tile is better than the bad water decal.

When I was courting my wife-to-be in the mid-oughtiess we'd have dates at the Julio's Barrio on Bourbon Street. There was nothing like drinking Corona Grandes and sharing a big bowl of nachos and salsa, and then having a lot more to eat and drink. 😍 We'd take the bus home.

As a former film projectionist, I have some old photos that would blow your wheels. I kept photos of "how to" do certain things that were part of the job. Still have images of the platters, the brain, how to thread it all, how to clean the sensors and maintain the projectors, etc etc.

Man I wish we had a true arcade in west Edmonton mall but sadly the government as so many laws against them that they become almost impossible to run a old school feeling arcade is definitly what is missing in this city

i never got to experience the old bourbon street, but i did sort of grow up with the current one. I have a fond memories of getting this really good spaghetti with shrimp after going to the world waterpark. I like this bourbon street alot!

Love that haunted area, somehow why do I get the feeling I’ve seen some of those characters before? Sure takes me back to the days of The Original Fantasyland Excursion tunnel.
