I went to a Fright Fest at SF when I was real small, maybe 5 years old. I got so scared in the outdoor walkthrough that they had to radio the whole team and have them let me walk through without scaring me 😅 20 years later and I have been a scare actor and manager for a haunt 🖤 spook on friends

Hi there! Employee over at Six Flags Magic Mountain one reason for the closure of some of the mazes at least from what I have heard is that many of the props and set design got stuck in transit in Oakland and during the employee preview even many of the houses were having audio and lighting problems which were still present on opening day. Regarding employees confusion with the event, almost every department was not given event info until just a few hours before the event had begun. Even then, the management is not the best at relaying new info. I hope the experience gets better I know the entertainment team does work hard and are reallyyyy bound by the budget and time constraints of six flags corporate.
@@osamabendolphin765 thanks for the clarification! Six Flags just got a little ambitious and they got off more than they could chew. It happens. And honestly, EVERYBODY expected there to be set backs. Id never bad mouth the park or the company for that. Sure we get frustrated in the moment but then ya gotta move on. Make the best of what IS available lol. I just hope they learn from them and it help the event going forward. No doubt once all the kinks get worked out this event is gonna be slammin!!! We look forward to coming back more than a few times this season make no mistake! Hope to see ya there!!!

It was good seeing you and Andrea there at Fright Fest. I think I managed to go through all but one maze which was Trick or Treat since it didn't even try to open. Army of the Dead was very empty and had maybe 3 scare actors in the whole maze. Nocturnal was well staffed but I think the heat got to most of them as they weren't even trying to scare anyone. I guess it's kind of difficult to do that in a open maze where you can see everything around you. The mazes up front and up the hill were the best for me as far as getting scared. I kind of knew the Fast Pass was going to be a waste of money because of the heat. Thanks for taking one for the team though! I might go back later in October to see if things have improved. I did have fun that night despite some of the short comings! Hey man! Just throw that camera away and you can enter! Haha! Catch you on that floppity flip side thingy! Hard time given. 😀
They sucks about army of the dead. I was hoping they’d staff the crap out of it! But of course, it’s six flags, so we can’t have nice things out there lol. The $60 was still worth it for the stuff we did do but we definitely didn’t need it. And yeah the originals were all the best ones. Go figure! Good seeing y’all out there!!
Would you say a fast pass for rides would be worth it?
@@elliedixon1154 maybe some Saturdays later in the season. But pretty much everything was 30 minutes or less that night.

I saw you a couple of times (I was with Quentin from Wicked Journey and Randy from theFUNnelCakeBlog). We stayed until the end of the night and one of the Aftermath mazes opened. Trick R Treat never opened.
@@JaniceYamanaka We thought that was you but I didn’t wanna say something in case it wasn’t lol. I’m surprised they opened either of those back there. We went back a couple times to check but left after the second time. Well experience it with the kids for the first time lol
Having that Wescom Bank near the entrance the way it is is tacky. It makes Knott's look a little cheap.

@@Chastains-in-LA I really didn't see any flickering or banding that I usually see with the sony cameras. My camera brightened up the whole store and was seeing more than what my eyes couldn't see. It was Noice!

On weekday mornings nowadays do they open the south hotel lot for parking? Also what about the tunnel?
@@hamzam8883 no hotel parking. And that tunnel is always a crapshoot. Your best bet is always coming up from the south end of Beach. That entrance is always open.

Sigh…. So once again another change to the classic Berry ride at Roaring 20’s. I went there this past Thursday for the Haunt store and picked up a few things. Store looked cool, it seems Sinister Seymour got the boot for tired ass Elvira. Who should’ve been there last year but what do I know? It’s seems like my park ain’t what it used to be.
@@MegaThor62 yeah I still stand they should’ve had Elvira do the show she’s doing this year, last year. Maybe it was a money thing or scheduling conflict. Who knows? But they did Seymour dirty last year too with the chambers. Not having the keeper out there running the queue every night was a miss. As far as Beary Tales…. I’m just tired of walking by and seeing that ride broken down. And hearing that nobody likes it as is anyway. I don’t know. Just seems like there’s a few things they could change to turn the vibe of the whole park around.
I know it can be tough going live especially when being with a little one but I do miss your live streams! Had a great one a month ago.

the old original Beary Tales ride...is...was FAR better than the shooter ride version...and guess what, a traditional darkride takes less maintenance and breaks down less than a shooter ride...

Most of Haunt changeover doesn't start happening until after Labor Day, especially stuff in the main midway areas and rides. Expect Mine Ride to shut down for a few days soon, that's when the whole shebang gets installed every year.

I wonder if they will have all of the mazes ready for opening night. That want I like about Knotts they have everything ready to go except for the chilling chambers it open up later in the night.

@@Acehitman369 we didn’t do it for either. We don’t go to any other parks but those so it didn’t really make sense to add on a pass for more. We just stuck with the devil we know lol. Didn’t try anything new.
@Chastains-in-LA Yeah, I was thinking the same thing, just keeping both parks passes separate for now. I just needed to hear someone else's opinion. Maybe 2026 passes will be better that actually makes sense
For Sky Tower, yes, the elevators are inside. I can't wait for it to reopen in 2026. I miss going up there.

If im being honest based on what I see every year from watching these scary Farm vids. Ghost Town always gets the best treatment from Lighting, Fog, Volume of characters, Uniqueness of characters you name it. That being said I honestly feel like most of your experience is just going to be Ghost Town only and its a shame because CarnEvil if they still have it could be so much more and also the other outside zone attractions! What Knotts should do is get approval from Cedar on an old outside attraction that the other parks have/had back in the day I forget the name but basically think of it like ghost town but without the undead cowboy theme. There where characters in Ghillie suits, Twin characters , sliders, basically just a collage of all mazes and zones into 1
@@lament8719 Carnevil gets more love than you might think. Those scare actors go viral with their interactions and are usually the most popular. Last year they had a TON of set design around the area and the music went hard. But, you can’t forget where your bread is buttered lol. Knotts wouldn’t be where they are today if not for the Ghost Town streets in ‘73! Lol
Hey, it was great to meet you before the event yesterday. I think they made the right choice in retiring Bloodline. It's just not the same without the guns. Keep up the good work, and we'll see you in the fog!

It would’ve been better if they just figured out how to be more efficient with them instead. Special ops: Infected lasted a LONG time under the same system. Wonder what made this not work…
The Knott’s live feed was pure ass on CZcams. Things were covered due to the stuff blocking the stage. The new spider looks meh.

@@DanielLenning-fy6fq You never know what might happen with these guys. Usually mazes will go the full 5 years before retiring. But people still love origins and Mesmer is basically the new dark entities.
