After probably a 100 hours of winging, I have pulled of a couple of gybes, but today they were plentiful. My advice to wingers is don't give up! The more you do it, the easier it gets. Barry has been foiling for many years now. That's not to have a chip at his age but just to say he's a very good foiler. This latest acquisition is an Ocean Sports SUP board to float over the top of his No Limitz mast and Lift 120 foil. Daz is a bit of a local legend. Quiet spoken he is perhaps the most frothy foiler on the coast and excels on the Wing and red hot in the surf foiling. You are an inspiration
Recently broke down a few things that made me WAY more consistent. First was looking ahead where I want to go before turning the wing for the hand pass. Next was holding the wing powered until the last second before starting the hand pass. Lastly, keeping the wing up above my head prevents back winding and keeps the tips from touching the water. Hope this helps!

Where is Paradise Point? Google Maps shows a suburb near Hope Island on the Gold Coast. No waves inside South Stradbroke Island.
Which board is this? Are you motorized on the lift or does this get going with the paddle?
The board is a new release from One Ocean Sports at the Gold Coast. You can google it. There is no motor

Sups do paddle back, not sure how long. I prone foil to the far beach and walk around as do most. That takes about 15 min

Like every sport, people are at different levels, google some more foil videos and you will see a very different level of execution. I have surfed all of my life at a high level and foiling is very very challenging, but very rewarding. Give it a try and see how "sterile" it is. You will be very humbled.

Where is this ! Sweet spot to learn
How big of a board do you normally prone with? Couldn't see the first part of the takeoff but seems like alot of white water so maybe it looks powerful.
Normally a 4.0 @. 28L this board has a lot of volume and skinny suitability is for a fat wave or unbroken wave about to break.
The white wash chip in wave is fat and fluffy and breaks only for a few meters on a shallow reef.

At the time it was only breaking right on the old rock wall. I had a go there earlier but did not have the board volume to get a start. No question the 65l kicks ass in that situation
