You have idle surging. Put a fuel pressure test on fuel rail . Turn key on to turn fuel pump on (don’t start ) should hold pressure . If it drops slow or fast . Pinch the return line if it stops dropping your pressure regulator is bad . If it helps but still dropping slower pinch the feed line closed . If it still drops slow you have leaking injectors. I had bad regular and bad injectors.

For real!? Damn, it’s crazy how computers are like a cars nervous system... Our TA went haywire the other day and started having misfiring and dying..we’ve been having a lot of rain.. we took a peek at the pcm and when we pulled it off it was literally a swimming pool on the inside :(
@@mikeandbrendan Hey man, I have the same situation my 88 2.8 camaro has the same problem but i change the MAF and solve it for chort time then start the failure again, was expensive to fix the ECM? Regards.

Miggy Otaku 36. But issues eventually came back. I ended up having the computer (ECM) sent out for repair and that fixed everything.
my iroc z is been giving me code 36. i'm thinking of sending my ECM to repairs is there a place you can recommend me? also what are the prices?

Hi I was wondering if you have resolved your problem? I have the same year and model with the same exact issue. Just curious what you found wrong.
Andrew Mitchell yes, first I replaced the MAF with a Bosch, it helped but still had issues. Mechanic adjusted the timing for me, ran better but STILL stalling issues. Same mechanic advised I send the computer (ECM) to Module Experts in Jacksonville FL for a scan. I sent it there and they resoldered and reflowed some stuff on the ECM and for the last 5 months it has been running beautifully and no stalling. These ECMs get old, the weather from cold to hot, hot to cold takes its toll over time. The components expand and contract just like wood in the weather. I am in Rhode Island and get the hot summer and cold winter.

Shawn Combat replaced MAF sensor and it improved but then stalled on me while driving. Had timing adjusted, ran stronger than ever, but still stalling. Sent computer (ECM) out for diagnostic as recommended by local shop. It was reflowed and re-soldered. Hasn’t stalled since then.

Jonathan Sardinas just under $200. Was a year ago now and been perfect since. IMO these cars are old, the heat and cold affect the cpu boards just like humidity and cold affect wood over time.
