He was a wonderful loving Father Grandfather Husband friend to all . We will miss him for an eternity and we are grateful he walked amongst us.

St Anthonys parish holds a special place in our hearts as its our grandparents parish and both were farewelled there Nonna in 2022 and Nonno in 2013

Our case was initially managed by Ben Clarke before it was transferred to Sheridan Hallcroft. Our experience with her left my family and I devastated and regretful for using Guardian Funerals Minchinbury (GFM). She was disrespectful and immature in her transactions with us and in each encounter, my family and I were unable to address her directly, out of respect for my grieving mother who was present during these encounters and the fact that they still had my father in their care. One incident occurred during my father’s dressing. We went onsite to dress our father’s body for his service the following day. At the dressing, Sheridan and the undertaker, Jayme, were present in the room. During the dressing, I would often catch Sheridan making eye contact with Jayme, and both would roll their eyes at each other while we were dressing my father. In one of these encounters, Sheridan and Jayme were rolling their eyes at each other once again while Sheridan looked at her watch. At this point, we had only been in the room for 5 minutes. My family and I could see their conspicuous behaviour which they tried to conceal each time they realised that they had been caught. I found this behaviour appalling and unfair as they were the ones who dictated the time we were scheduled for the dressing. At one point, Sheridan signalled Jayme to come over to her on the other side of the room. As Jayme walked towards Sheridan, they both rolled their eyes. And when Jayme went over to Sheridan, they turned their backs slightly and started gossiping. Judging from their body language, they were gossiping about something negative, as clearly conveyed by their rolling eyes and the nodding of their heads in disagreement to something. After dressing my father, Sheridan leads us to a meeting room. My patience was running thin, but persistence was key, as my mother was right outside the room weeping. In this meeting, she asks if we wanted to have a cross or a crucifix for my father’s casket. I was perplexed by the question as this had been discussed, so believing she was referring to something else I asked “can we see both, to make a decision?”. Sheridan responds with a sharp “yes” before abruptly walking out the room rolling her eyes. Minutes later, Sheridan reappears at the door and condescendingly asks me “do you know the difference between a cross and a crucifix?”. I respond “yes, of course I do”, before she abruptly turns and walks away. When Sheridan returns to the room, she resumes her seat and says “well, a cross was ordered, so that is what you’re getting”. The casket we purchased for my father comes with a vial which includes special paper for family to write messages. The vial is attached to the casket and its purpose is to store these letters and messages. I asked Sheridan for this paper. Sheridan's response to the request was “oh she can just write it tomorrow morning”. I said “No, I would like that paper before we leave”. Sheridan sighs and sharply responds with a “yep” before proceeding to exit the room, clearly rolling her eyes and clearly agitated. One of the assaults occurred on the day of my father’s funeral service, where my family and I were humiliated by staff of GFM. At the conclusion of the service GFM arrived at the church to collect my father to take to the burial site. Media was also present, and they had asked me if they could be spared 5-10 minutes to set up their equipment before the arrival of the funeral procession. I advised them that I will make this request with GFM. As I approached GFM staff, I caught sight of Sheridan looking in my direction, before making eye contact with another staff member and rolling their eyes at each other. As I walked away after making the request, I clearly saw Sheridan roll her eyes at me. So blatant she was, that my guests approached me and expressed how disgusted they were at GFM. One of my guests pointed out that “the one in the middle (Sheridan), needs her eyes rearranged”. We paid GFM for service and support, yet, the service we were charged almost $20,000 for failed miserably.

You could add dignity to this type service by having the casket carrier have the velvet cloth covering up the bareness of the steel frame.

In USA there’s a fabric skirt to cover the frame for casket carriage to bring casket in for servive
