The event was held in Cape Town and Knysa. A 21 coach train was refurbished with 5 bars and 4 dance floors, a massage/henna tattoo parlour, games arcade, and lounge. The video was shot and edited by Gavin Elder. The video was given as a post event keepsake to all who attended. Event art director and designer: Carel de Beer for Bates 141.

The Children's Home is an extension of the community's philosophy to take care of the sick and destitute...

Thanks for the very interesting video.I am 73 years of age and live in Port Elizabeth. I attended and matriculated at Paterson high school in schauderville Port Elizabeth. I had two teachers who were very involved in raising funds and collecting clothes for the Elim home for disabled children. Their names were John,,,Gallie ,,Groener and his wife Lucy.Apart from being dedicated teachers their family project was the Elim home.We as students use to hear a lot about this home Especially From teacher Lucy Groener.We praise God for such unsung heroes. God Bless their souls..They were blessed with two beautiful children.i can only remember Russell who became a medical doctor . Russell is presently in New York and is a Professor in aneastilogy and was also chairman of the board of Jewish hospitals in New York ...
Hi Godfrey I can’t explain how moved I was all those years ago when I made the video. Till today I can still remember every moment and how the children inspired me. Not to forget the staff, I have to remind myself of the love they showed for the kids and knew every one of them intimately. Bless those that enable them. And you for remembering them. Blessings!

That part where he does the vibrato in the back of his throat , if you can do it, it sounds great when playing clarinet, saxophone, oboe or any other reed instrument or EWI. Brilliant vibrato effect on them, just like his singing.
