As a Barca fan who've seen every Barca's match last season I feel like i've invested in bitcoin early :) How the planet slept on this kid for a year is something i just can't comprehend. He was the best player for Barca in UCL, he was the best player from the Barca v PSG double (sad he was subbed early by Xavi in the second leg because he was scared of the red card Araujo got) ... and finally at the Euro the world noticed it. He played for Barca's first team when he was 15(fun fact, he grew 10cm taller since the debut) and then he was a prospect. Now he is not anymore, he is one of the best players in the world and the future Ballon d'Or. It's a matter of time.

I am a United fan I have been for 34 years. I think Mainoo is an incredible prospect. But, I think these days the hype over any new player is too overblown. Social Media never gives these kids a break. They build them up and pile so much pressure on these kids, this coupled with fame and every one wanting a piece of them, sometimes even their own family members makes me nervous. We should acknowledge his talent but let the boy play his football without the weight of so much promise on him. I think we should always judge a player’s ability in their second full season in the league. How he performs after opposition teams have learned his game and learned how to play against him is the real test. This season will be about consistency for Kobbie Mainoo. Maybe we hold off on the hype and just let the lad play.
