I'm an only child. Of course I'm selfish, but I don't mean to be, just like how I can't comprehend why my twins aren't close and can't just love eachother without everything being a fight. I don't understand siblings and why they can't just get along, just like people with siblings can't understand the reclusive selfishness of an only child. I try my best to slay the selfish in me everyday. I was alone and just learned to be ok with that vs interacting with people I had to share with. Which can be reversed on both sides, and now I'm overthinking and basically just mean, we all need to take accountability vs nobility vs liability. If you're a dick and you're selfish, take accountability and work on it.

This is consequences. He's teaching consequences. The consequence of lying is i can't trust you. The consequence of telling the truth is i can trust you. Kids only know what you teach them. Occasionally they will learn outside the home but most of they're knowledge comes from within the home

The problem is these folks dont care. They can be careless, yet cant be bothered by the consequences of their actions... so the Lord has given them a debased mind. They one day will have to stand in front Him. Then and only then will they have regret, but by then it will be to late. My dad used to say " you made your bed now lie in it". Its on them, and those they chose to murder will be be with the Father and the Son.

Love it, great stuff. Can I also add that the surest way to guard yourself against the lies of the world is to have intimate knowledge of the truth. Be studying your Bible every day. Bing on some great podcasts like pastor Josh, RC sproul, so many great ones. Read/listen to some great books like CS Lewis mere Christianity, I don't have enough Faith to be an atheist by Frank Turek.
