Lane Sharing past CHP
21658.1 (a) For the purposes of this section, “lane splitting” means driving a motorcycle, as defined in Section 400, that has two wheels in contact with the ground, between rows of stopped or moving vehicles in the same lane, including on both divided and undivided streets, roads, or highways.

Hello Mate! Is it okay if I use this video in one of my compilations? Full Credited of course. Thanks
Hey, man. idk why there are a bunch of fucking morons on here telling you that you were in the wrong. You were attempting to be safe by coming to the side of the driver ahead of you, which is completely legal as you evidenced. Everybody here must be related to the guy in the truck, or everybody here is the guy in the truck with different accounts. XD
Hello, all good lately? Can I feature your clip for my youtube edit? I'll credit you with watermark on screen of course. Thanks in advance.
I rode with someone once who also rashes right there, seems to be a unfortunately popular area to crash :/ glad everyone is ok
Yeah, its a tricky turn. Downhill, bumpy and cracks on the corner entry.
Literally everyone commenting how you are in the wrong, yet you still can’t seem to accept that fact. Sad, indeed.
Literally, everyone commenting weren't there or know all the variables involved. They don't know who's behinds me or how close or what kind of vehicle or vehicles. They don't know the speed limit, they don't know how far the next corner is, they don't know the temps, conditions of the construction zone, and they don't know California motorcycle laws.
@@michealmotorcycle4209 we can see plenty, thanks to the video ;)

Hello there! May I use this clip in my compilation? Thanks.
If you have to comment from an alt account to pretend to be someone else, in order to back yourself up. You’re most likely in the wrong lmao
Yet, I've proven over and over that I'm not.
@@michealmotorcycle4209 Yet you haven’t. You quoted the law, not understanding it, which doesn’t even apply to your case. You didn’t even understand the difference between a divided and undivided road/highway. You’ve been proven wrong multiple times by multiple people. And yet you keep using the same defense that they proved wrong. Just own up to your mistakes like a responsible adult and move on. It’s not worth risking your life or other people’s lives just because you want to be ignorant of the law. Again, there’s a good reason you didn’t do this in the other video you posted when you were in front of CHP. And you know exactly why you didn’t do it in front of the CHP
You should learn the laws before riding, kid.
By his response to others, its sounds like he knows them very well. Maybe you should learn CA motorcycle vehicle codes before commenting.
czcams.com/video/a2uAY8_os5I/video.html Here it is in practice. Notice how no one lost there 💩 or how I wasn't pulled over.
@@Asskicker408123”By his response to others” Dude, you are him. You’re using an alt account to try and back up your own argument. That’s just sad and embarrassing. Stop using an alt account to try and get support.
@@michealmotorcycle4209notice how what you did in that video is completely different from what you did in this video. Since you didn’t go into the oncoming lane in that video like you did in this one
@@michealmotorcycle4209 that's not a lawyer or a reference to any laws, so, irrelevant. Try again, when you learn the law, boy.
so now driving on the wrong side of the road is "lane splitting" golly you are not smart
I am smart. Did you miss the exceptions clause to crossing the double yellow? I put it in the video just for those who are uneducated about it.
@@michealmotorcycle4209 you can't claim lane splitting and then cross a double yellow for safety purposes. you're straight up driving into the oncoming lane to make a pass, which is 100% illegal. you really are not smart at all.
@@poopmcgee3826 Seems to be smarter then you. DId you not see the truck push him into the opposing lane? 🤡
@@poopmcgee3826 Yet, your okay with the truck swerving and pushing him onto on coming traffic? That's the only crime in this video.
@@Asskicker408123 where did i say i was ok with that???? you are not very smart either. and no, that was not the only crime. it is 100% illegal to cross the double yellow to pass. cheeeeeese.

czcams.com/video/a2uAY8_os5I/video.html For the naïve folks. Here is a video of me lane sharing past CHP. Notice how I wasn't pulled over or how no one tried to run me off the road or loose their 💩
@@michealmotorcycle4209 I speed past my local police all the time without getting pulled over (allegedly). Does that all the sudden make my speeding right or legal? Your argument is rather ridiculous and completely glosses over a simple truth, police tend to give motorcycles a bit more leeway. Here’s CHP acknowledging what you did in the video in the comments and the video we’re all commenting on is illegal. czcams.com/video/mPxcWPRcHus/video.htmlsi=wTHvgqoylE6yNQ4Z&t=1m19s
@@ClevelandBeemer You keep making assumptions. I didn't get pulled over because its legal. I passed CHP, lane sharing, because I know its legal. I continue to pass other cars in front of CHP, because its legal. I didn't get pulled over because their wasn't a CVC violation broken. Show me the CVC violation that made my lane share illegal. Show me. Lastly, if think YT comments from random people are facts, you sir, are Illy misinformed.
@@michealmotorcycle4209 yet in circles we go. You violated 21658.1 (a). “BETWEEN rows of stopped or moving vehicles in the same lane.”
@@michealmotorcycle4209the video you shared is lane sharing. This video of the truck driver getting mad at you, was not lane sharing. You keep quoting the law, even though it shows you are wrong. In the video you linked here in the comments, you stayed in the lane or were right on the line. Being right on the line when there is oncoming traffic can get you pulled over and ticketed if the officer wants to. But that was also very different than this situation. In this situation, you clearly leave the lane entirely and go far beyond the line and into the lane for oncoming traffic. The video of you passing CHP is barely lane splitting, but pushing it. Do this same thing and go into the opposite lane in front of a CHP and then post that video. There’s a reason you didn’t go that far over the line in front of the cop like you did in this video
@@ClevelandBeemer "Or moving vehicles in the same lane, including on both divided and undivided streets, roads, or highways." Why do you keep neglecting that part?
Having grown up in California myself and being a native Cali boy, you broke the law. Multiple times. That is *not* lane splitting. At all. Lane splitting is where there are two lanes going the same direction. That isnt the case. Its one lane going in opposite directions on both sides of the road. Not only that but you were swerving over double yellow lines twice and passing illegally. YOU'RE the and in the wrong. I dont know what who told you how to drive or that you were in the right but you fucked up here.
I really don't understand your ignorance to this law. Again, "Including on both divided and undivided streets, roads or highways." Please google what an undivided highway is. Here, I did it for you: "An undivided highway is a highway on which traffic flows in both directions without any physical separation" You're naive to the lane sharing laws in California. Only crime here was the truck swerving and attempting to hit and or impede me.
czcams.com/video/a2uAY8_os5I/video.html Here is a video of me lane sharing past chp. notice how no one lost there 💩
@thehearn2658 Dang, must suck to be proven wrong.
@@michealmotorcycle4209you keep posting that as a “gotcha.” An undivided and divided highway both go in either direction. The difference is that a divided highway has a physical barrier between the two directions of traffic. Like when there are barriers and/or a patch of land between the two directions of traffic. You literally googled it, read the definition, and still explained it wrong
Wow, you cant get anymore ignorant. Its the CVC clearly states " Same lane, including undivided streets, roads, or highways. Maybe you should look up what an undivided street, road or highway is.
You brought this on yourself being impatient and proceed to cross double yellows to go around. Incredibly unsafe.
I guess you missed the cvc codes listed in the video. Perfectly legal in California. Get your sh#t right.

100% on you. You can’t lane split a two-lane road….. (a road with only one lane of traffic going in each direction)
Cvc 21658.1 (a) says I can.
@@michealmotorcycle4209 except you totally miss the most important part of 21658.1: “between rows of stopped or moving vehicles in the same lane.” Call me crazy, but you don’t have two lanes of vehicles going the same direction to split…. Again, 100% on you.
@@ClevelandBeemerAnd you totally missed the other important part of 21658.1 (a). " or moving vehicles in the same lane, including on both divided and undivided streets, roads, or highways." I going to tell you, YOU'RE NOT.
@@ClevelandBeemer I won't call you crazy, but I will call you a fool.
@@michealmotorcycle4209 the motorists actions don’t justify your own actions. I do believe you attempted to illegally share lanes first. Also what is behind you is irrelevant unless you’re avoiding getting hit. Since I see the truck fail to get rear ended I’m going to assume that’s not the case. You seem to think that “both dividend and undivided streets, roads, or highways” applies in this situation. It doesn’t. The law is specifying what type of roads, which still must have two or more lanes traveling in the same direction, that the law applies to. Trying to split with a single lane of traffic is illegal. Again, you instigated the interaction and thus be in the wrong…..
