Rode to Lawless Brewery in North Hollywood with Glendale PEV. It was a nice day for a ride but there were some issues. I can see your friend has a DIY Ebike, i made one too, i have a 72V 3000W Motor one, what are his specs ?
I think its a 1000 watt motor, but I don't remember much else. His channel is @JPL_Rides where he has videos of it

The only tricky part was soldering the Spin FV-1 IC and that's just cause the legs are tiny. Pretty straightforward
