Beautiful bike. I love the look. I have a 2001 748 biposto, and anything that was aluminum or plastic, i replaced wifh carbon fiber components..... but my all red bike looks nowhere as good as yours!
What year is your Ducati? What year did you get the swingarm from? Thanks in advance for your answer.
@@nyah2211 mine is 2016 and the swingarm is of a monster 1200R which I think it was 2016 but all the swingarms are the same
@@ducatidave Thanks!
Or just a 1200 with 821 stickers on..
@@SamRose-dl8xc 😀no , it’s a 821 with a 1200 swinger
@@ducatidave And also a 1200 Ohlins shock absorber?
@@SamRose-dl8xc yes
I seen this going for $10k on marketplace, is that a price to be concerned about?
Not my bike on market place

I got the riser kit from a moto x shop for like €30 they are RFX I wasn’t paying over €100 for rizoma . The frame slider’s were on the bike when I got it

Paramotor ?
Very nice. How much costs the single sided swingarm ?
For the swingarm it me €500

Monster 821 ? The 1200 ?
It’s a 821 with a 1200R swingarm conversion
Where did you get that carbon cover for the headlight?
Maxi carbon
Very nice

Hey, amazing sound. Is it with or withouth db-killer? Also do you have any fly-by videos or the sound from further away? Amazing bike.
It doesn’t have a DP killer , I must get a flyby video . Check out the latest video were I done a single sided swingarm conversion
Please get a flyby video asap for this beast, it will be much appriciated!!

Some absolute classics!
You should speak! Wonderful bikes. So you have four I assume, rank them as you like them from least to most.
I have thought about it lately but it wasn’t my intention when joining CZcams it was more a dumping ground for videos that I wanted to clear from my phone 😁
Beautiful! Wow
Thank you 👍
Yo. 1200 swingarm on the 821 is the bomb. I’m still not a fan of the older style foot pegs but you can’t have everything. Nice work man. 😎👍🏼
Thanks 👍
I’m not mad on the pillion foot pegs so i might swap out the subframe for the latest model if I get one cheap which will do away with the foot pegs
Beautifull!
Thank you
Killer job! 👍👍👍💥😎
Thank you 👍
Love ya bike. What’s the make of the can please. Termis are too expensive
It’s a Mivv exhaust , sounds great and are very cheap but great quality from Italy

Thank you so much! Are you happy with the quality?
The first link that you did send me is for a ducati monster 1200.. did you put this 1200 sticker on your 821? I have a monster 821 from 2015 I don't want to buy the wrong size ofcourse.. 😊
@@D.Chantis yes they are good
@@D.Chantis same tank , if you are going to put on the 2 style of stickers like I did , I cut along the bottom of the top sticker for a straight line to match with the bottom sticker.
lovely bike Dave , i hope i get see that out near Dublin one of the days haha. Any engine modifications done to it too?
Cheers Adam , I’ve put on 50mm termignoni half system , bmc air air filters that’s basically all . Did you ever look or buy that yellow 748 sp that was me who messaged you 👍
🔥🔥🔥 how did you swap a headlight to the newest. I mean what you should do with electronic system?
It’s the standard headlight with a tint and led bulbs and carbon fibre surround
A thing of beauty for sure.
Thank you
Hi, can you provide some reference about the carbon parts?
They are from maxi carbon in Italy 🇮🇹
@@ducatidave thank you so much! Nice project! About the exaust carbon cover.. there are 2 protection or you have replaced only the external?
@@Marrundoo yeah I’ve just replaced the outside one
Great bike! What are those small running lights in the front?
@@jayvidz they were on the bike when I bought it , they are tiny spot lights
The! Sound Like aaa fast Name: rasen Mäher.
Hey, how did you remove the mesh?
I cut it around the edges with a snips and then used a long nosed pliers to grip the edge and twist it till it came off then clean off any sharp edges , it’s a hard metal but it was easy enough to do
10/10🎉
Thank you
I like the black painted swingarm. Looks good. Did you do the brake line yet?
Ah yeah I done that when I done the swingarm , it’s the 1200R swingarm
Hi, is it much louder that the original?
Yes it’s much louder but it’s a nice sound , I’m actually thinking of changing to a sc project soon which is that little bit louder again
@@ducatidave I thought it was not so much louder. Does it have db killer? In my country they use to stop louder bikes
@@Peprunner1990 oh it’s definitely louder than standard and it doesn’t have a Dp killer
They should’ve kept making them single sided. It was one of the few features it had over the Japanese bikes.
Exactly and I think these monsters are beautiful looking especially the 1200 because they came with the single sided swingarm , I think the 821 was just lacking on the swingarm . I find the new monster just doesn’t do it for me , no single sided swingarm again and no trellis frame , I think it looks more like a jap bike.
The new monsters look more like the streetfighters. The older body monsters looked way better with minimal fairing and single sided swing. But loved what you did to this one! 👍🏻
Looks good Dave. Did it go smoothly? You may, as I did with my 821 SSS conversion after I got used to the super nice Ohlins shock notice how poor the front forks are in comparison to the rear suspension. I don’t know if your forks are bone stock or if you have cartridges in them. I’m digging my Ohlins forks. They are dialed in perfectly. It’s like a different bike. Good job!
Yes it went in no problem I found doing the rear brake line swap more of a pain 😁 I might try get it out tomorrow or if not it’ll be after Christmas Day . I’ll probably go for ohlins front sometime next year
@@ducatidave If you know how to remove the Airbox with the tank off it will greatly help you. The Airbox sits over the abs unit and getting that line connected is a pain without the Airbox out. Where the brake line runs just behind the exhaust on the right side, I did away with the factory line shielding and wrapped it with exhaust wrap, and did the same for the exhaust under the plastic shielding. That line has a factory recall because it gets heat damage as it’s so close, so now mine is overkill as far as protection from heat goes. And when you wrap that pipe under the shielding it keeps your leg cooler. I also wrapped the pipe on the rear cylinder under the back shielding and it really helps with the left leg as well. You need to unbolt it from the head to do it right, but worth it.
@@Ducatiworkshop I’d have no problem removing the airbox again it was just the first time removing it knowing what to remove , yeah I remember seeing the recall for the brake line but I’ll leave it as it is for the moment. I’m thinking of a sc project exhaust in the new year it’s basically the same as what I have but it’s a bit louder and looks a better quality than the Mivv.
Just one criticism: for me it would have to be 1+1!
Super sound ❤
I’ve got the same indicators but had to disconnect the instrument indicator lamp by the speedo. How did you overcome this problem.
I didn’t have that problem
What set up you have on front end? Ohlins forks with 56mm bottom yoke and top..? Looks really good
Yeah ohlins forks with standard 53mm top yoke and ohlins bottom yoke 56mm
Oh Cool Dave, you disconnected the exhaust flap. Do you notice the low end hesitation is gone now? How is the sound now compared to what it was?
Sorry for the late reply but yes I disconnected it and I am very happy with it , it feels much better and sounds way better 👍
Hi! Thinking about fitting the exact same MIIV on my M821. Does the flap need to be removed though? Were there any errors on dash after changing the exhaust but leaving the exhaust valve untouched?
Hi no it doesn’t need to be removed , the exhaust was fitted to the bike when I bought it , it made pops and bangs but was nice but I just changed the standard air filter for a performance bmc filter and I find it doesn’t pop and bang as much and feels much smoother . I removed the flap by just disconnecting the cable which makes the flap stay open . I found before I removed the flap the bike felt like the power would drop up the revs because the flap was closing as the revs got higher , oh and no lights on the dash
Very good👍🏻i have 620 2002 Greetings from Italy 👏🏻
