Funny enough the Christmas movie violent night got norse stuff right. Where it portrayed Santa Claus as a norseman, fat here and there, and had red hair, but he was big. Also the fact that he's Immortal due to Christmas magic. It's implied that he's like that to atone for past sins.

Yeah right, they was known for being warriors for a reason and theres mutable historical accounts talking about how big they was

Southern Europe and Western Asia sounds about right. Except that it happened tens of thousands of years ago. We all migrated from Africa. The proto indo Europeans are the ancestors of all “Caucasians” today if that’s what you’re trying to say. Obviously it’s far more complicated and it’s impossible to ever know with absolute certainty. The thing I love about science is we can only guess with the best data we have. There are no facts in science, merely educated guesses. Only the arrogant claim to have facts. That said History itself is complicated. Vikings weren’t a people. It was a way of life. They were simply nomadic sea raiders. They formed a Scandinavian identity because that way of life came from that part of the world. It doesn’t surprise me they share ancestors with the peoples of the Steppes who are also nomadic raiders. Except by horse instead of sea. For their sea is the steppes and their waves are the rolling hills of the steppes and their ships are horses. I’ve always found it more than coincidental that both Vikings and Mongols were similar. They both were raiders and made a culture of it. Both were pagans and believed in spirits of the land. Both even throat sing which is a pretty unique way of singing. Both spread their dna all over the world lol I like to think that Russians are literally born from the Vikings conquering their lands as well as the Mongols. It’s like the Vikings and Mongols are the parents of Russians. Btw I just want to make it clear that I don’t necessarily agree with the video. I don’t think Vikings were Asian or whatever the hell “southern” European means. Vikings were Scandinavian. Scandinavia isn’t a people. It’s like saying being American is a race. It’s a place composed of many people. But being American is a way of life and that way of life was born in America. And being Viking was a way of life and that life was born in Scandinavia. Where they couldn’t grow a lot of crops or be provided by the land. They had to be hardy and take from others to survive. Vikings could not be Vikings without Scandinavia. That’s why when they settled in Brittania or Albion they became English, Welsh, Scottish, Irish (The UK itself has had many many different peoples settling it so I don’t mean they themselves created England, Scotland or Ireland just became a part of it). When they settled in Frankia they became French.

Vikings actually came from the middle east and were led by Moses, but took a hell of a long time to get there because Moses always got himself or something lost on the way ...the first time he lost a coin in the Sanai desert,it took him and his mates 40 years to find it ....😂😂😂

they were strong tho! you can actually look at modern farmers who work alot with their hands imagine them lil smaller, put on some chainmail and you are good to viking! bones found indicate that even not big the muscles of ppl working their entire existence with their hands are tough AF! some seemingly had twice the muscle-bone connective structures of modern ppl.

This isnt true, we have preserved DNA from teeths, we know blond recessive genes was very common in Sweden and Red Hair in Denmark. Yes, a lot of viking women bleached their hair, so what? Im Swedish, my hair was very very blond as a kid, and when I hit 30 it turned brown. so if I color my hair blond today I would never have been blond?

The Norse and Danes that would go raiding had a warrior title known as VIKINGR (VIK just like PICK) ( VIK-ING-R). They would go A Viking, which would translate into raiding, and a Vikingr is a raider
