The torque and power characteristics of an electric motor are the reason for the ability of electric vehicles to operate using just a single gear.

Hello, my father has a 2009 nissan altima hybrid and for a while now its been hard to steer requiring some effort to turn. Is it because the electric motor has failed or could it be something else? Thanks
