For insects they say the rumble of tones work because they feel it. That's how they hear.
I don`t think those piles of rock are usefull for anything. Even less with geotextils. Is there any hidaulic model for this? or some dude just took it out of its hat.
Yeah this friend used and it seemed to work foir him . The plug in ones for mice and hopefully RATS . At this point I'm soo daaannnggg frustrated I'm probably going to use them
Thank you that was very helpful sir❤ I could probably stop buying these ridiculous devices😊
Straight and to the point, no fluff, less than 1 minute.
This is the greatest video on yt. Ask a question and then answer it in 57 seconds. No small talk, no filler, no sell me something, fantastic. Some 57sec. Videos go on for 15 minutes.
Wyatt you've just crushed my dreams. I live in an apartment, and I'm constantly cleaning to avoid roaches, bugs, etc. I have new neighbors tho an I've started seeing critters. What to do?
Sorry to hear about pest-y neighbors. Continue to keep areas clean, and trying to seal cracks and crevices is the best approach. Also, it has been so hot. Insects are seeking shelter. It may not be the neighbors. As cooler temps return, your visitors will want to be outside.
You say allegedly makes sounds that humans can't hear. It's a fact that it does make a sound because if you record it on your phone well it's making the sound you will hear the sound that it makes.
very interesting and useful
Keeping your house clean is also a myth. I have the cleanest house and still get roaches.
For Canadians-- mix 946 mL water to 60 mL (4 TBSP) disinfective bleach.
I saw a review online saying he got more bugs and that the device attracted even more. It doesn't sound true, but I'm asking if it is true anyway, just in case i should unplug the ones i have.
Apparently they come out in attempt to escape
The ultrasonic device that can be set in Australian homes & barns during rat/mice invasions that can prove it works would have the biggest bragging rights of all companies. Have any of these devices ever worked in Australia? Challenge for Ultrasonic Companies!: make a device that works on Australian farms and you'd have worldwide bragging rights!
They do work. I know for facts the older models did. My children are grown and we had no pest using them. Older models that is. The newer model ones probably scams.
I never heard as many as 8 per night.. I heard an average of 8 over the course of a lifetime.
What type is best for grazing cattle?
Can i use any type of bleach? Or only clorox bleach?
Clorox is a brand name, but any household chlorine bleach should work. Check the label if you have questions.
Shouldn’t use plastic as it enters the water, and animals/fish and environment.
How long do we let it sit in the solution?
The CDC recommends leaving the diluted bleach solution on the surface for at least 1 minute before removing or wiping it. This is known as the “contact time” for disinfection. The surface should remain visibly wet during the contact time.
What about rats?
I got bit by a brown recluse spider in Sonora California. I woke and felt pressure on my waist line and I had a big bump at first so I looked in my bed and found the spider I must have rolled over on it. But I put it in a Ziploc bag and went to the hospital. The spider had a fiddle on its abdomen and the hospital said its already starting my skin to die at the bite but the called it something else. And they gave me a shot right in the bite and packed it with gauze and some cream. I had to keep changing the gauze twice a day for a week or so. I still carry a scare. So yes there is Brown recluse spiders in California. I'll catch one and send you a picture.
A better solution would be to take it to your local University Entomology department or Extension office. They can help better identify any local spiders, and if it was indeed a Brown Recluse, that is information they want to know.
I live in Oakdale (close to Sonora). Myself and all of my neighbors have them in our houses
PRIMARY FIRE START IN THE PAST WAS BY LIGHTNING.
This may be old, but the most informative and descriptive video I found on the topic👍
Im going to spray away thanks
I had a tick fall out of a tree once and it landed on my arm, granted i was Spain so maybe that species hunts differently. Why are people obsessed that this is a myth, literally had it happen...it must be pretty common
It happened once to you so it must be common? Well, I won Eurojackpot once, so that has got to be pretty common, too, no?
Where to buy greenfield bermuda seeds?
since these things do NOT work as advertised (meaning that they don't, at all, and are effectively modern day " snake oil"... Then why is it legal to sell as advertised?! Can anyone answer this question for me? P.S. Thanks for the informative video. I love it when I find a video about a topic or DYI, etc. I'm looking for and the person giving the information doesn't rant and go on tangents. They just get to the point and provide the information I'm looking for. That is much appreciated. Jam on!
We can't answer the legality of selling these products, but the Federal Trade Commission has issued warnings to manufacturers in the past. www.ftc.gov/news-events/news/press-releases/2001/05/ftc-warns-manufacturers-retailers-ultrasonic-pest-control-devices
You got to read the fine print when you buy stuff like that to see what you're getting. It probably tells you there's no guarantee it's going to work
@okstate_ag Well, a warning, obviously, works wonders, lol
When did restoring nature become so unnatural? Nature will restore and reclaim itself. It's man that made it unnatural. Just keep man out.
I wondered if the theory mentioned in the video about the inverse proportion between soil temperature and coleoptile length is still valid. if it is still valid, i'd request you to guide lead me to the research that proves it. additionally, if it is not valid now, i'd request you to lead me to the research which proved this theory for coleoptile. i am aware that it is an old video, but i still hope to receive a response.
Yes. There is a little bit about it on our Dual Purpose Wheat fact sheet. extension.okstate.edu/fact-sheets/dual-purpose-wheat-management-for-forage-and-grain-production.html
Wow what a simple disguise they ran away to not get killed. If they don't they get killed. It's not a myth it's reality.🥱🥱🤨
Thank you! What a helpful video!
I see clean water. There's many many creeks in locales that have become dumping ground. No respect. Why? Are people biologically stupid? I don't believe that. It's something else. I think it comes from a feeling of hopelessness. The more people are made aware and good leadership is in place at local level, people will respond. That's been shown true over and over. One issue is sometimes the cost of disposing of tires and large appliances people cannot afford so they're vicariously dumped. Recycling has to step up.

How are they allowed to sell it if it doesnt work
Welcome to the real world
They are not very expensive and really not regulated by any agency.
Please tell me you're joking
How do you think scams work? they're literally selling you a LIE!
Ever hear of a mood ring or pet rock? They did nothing but make the inventor rich. 🤑
How we make unfertile to fertile tillers?
see the truth about stream restoration projects (Utube: "How a stream is restored in Gaithersburg").
Outstanding tips.
Thank you for your efforts and educating like us people Who does not know about wheat farming
Just buy tomatoes from the supermarket.
😂
This is so sick.
That’s my teacher 🤤
What about for rodents?
While some rodents can hear frequencies in the ultrasonic range, a 1995 Nebraska study says that the tested devices had "insufficient repellency." digitalcommons.unl.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1033&context=nwrcrepellants
Does each tiller yield one seed head?
They have the capacity to produce a wheat head. Whether they do is based on environmental factors.
If you live in an apartment or hotel, it's a good idea to apply a thin layer of food grade diatomaceous earth in all the places where bed bugs can enter your home from your neighbor's apartments, around doors, windows, electric wiring, plumbing connections, wall cracks etc. and leave it in place permanently. It will kill bed bugs for years if they walk across the powder. Maybe you could remove your shoes and set them in a tray of Diatomaceous earth when entering your apartment to eliminate hitch hiking bugs. Do what you can to keep the bed bugs out, but don't worry too much because bed bugs are really easy to get rid of! You can get rid of BED BUGS inside your home by gently spreading a very thin dry coat of Food grade Diatomaceous earth on your bed. You can use a soft paint brush. Do not inhale the powder. Put one of the new Sansbug BUG TENTS on top of the bed to sleep inside. Each night some of the hungry bed bugs will smell you and come for a drink of your blood. After walking across the powder, they won't be able to get into the tent to bite you. You can SLEEP TIGHT and NOT LET THE BED BUGS BITE! Later the DE clinging to their bodies will dry out their exoskeletons. They will shrivel up and die. Sleep inside the tent at night for about a month or so, long enough for all the bed bugs to die, including the tiny nymphs that can hatch from the BED BUG EGGS several weeks after the adults have died. They normally like to feed about every 5 days if they haven't been disturbed. All the bed bugs will eventually walk across the powder. THEY MUST HAVE BLOOD TO LIVE. YOU HAVE THAT FOOD SUPPLY.. The diatomaceous earth on the bed will destroy all of them. You don't have to do any work, just sleep inside the tent at night without getting any bed bug bites! I got rid of my bed bugs years ago with this method. I DIDN'T HAVE A TENT, so I got a few bites. I did not enjoy being the bait to lure the bugs onto the bed with the diatomaceous earth, but I knew this would get rid of all of them. After a week, I didn't get anymore bites, which was a pleasant surprise. This is the only thing I did. None of the bugs stayed in their hiding places. They all walked onto the bed and were killed by the DE. There were no live bugs in bedding, clothes, furniture or anyplace else in the house. (If the bed bugs are in a sofa or easy chairs, they can be powdered, too.)
What to do if it rains before emergence?
Where are you located
I can only think that some work - and some brands don’t. I wouldn’t write them all off. We purchased the Bezan ones, and since we’ve had no more rodents, or even insects -literally none! Insects may not have ears - but they will feel the vibration of sounds I would have thought. Even Moths disappeared! We couldn’t believe it! Your Video did remind us though that we purchased some cheaper ones (a different brand) some years ago - and hey did not work... Obviously, the less you pay, I would have thought the less likely they would work. The Bezan ones we purchases weren’t the cheapest. They came in a pack of four, and we have one plugged in each room. I suspect one would have little effect.
