Those who do not want an HOA want freedom over their property, not control of their neighbors property. Something you do not seem to understand.

What I find funny is that HOAs are the most prevalent in states with strong gun laws... you'd think the "come and take it" crowd would be against HOA overstep onto how to use THEIR land. Food for thought.

Lol could you imagine paying tons of money for a home and your neighbors are telling you what you can and cant do with it. Dont care if my neighbors have grass to the roof and 30 cars with pitbulls on chains as long as they treat me and my kiddos like good neighbors should. I grew up in my grandmas house she'd owned it 47 years.well tge houses build around the property to the back and right after grandma baught hers were hoa. The president of the hoa was our neighbor. She spent 20 years fighting the city and county to force my dad to move his school bus . After the first 5 years he painted a big ass american flag down the side facing her. The city couldnt force him to move it cus although from outside you couldn't tell it was a complete dry moble apartment. As long as it starts and had safty belts they couldnt make him move it.

Why are we pretending the options are HOA or all the houses around you are going to be dilapidated shit holes? Most homeowners or even renters take reasonable care of the property.

HOA is the worst. Not at all worth the hassle.

I just went through this as a tenant, and I have no sympathy for the owners. They take advantage every chance they get, and pretend to be empathetic. Shove off with your complaints. Hope this helps. 🤗

Maybe have some decency and call the tenant directly to confirm a schedule?! Some people would be willing to sue you for just walking into their home like that.
