We want to be better parents. We want to give our children the love and attention they need. But our lives are so busy, and we’re stretched so thin, it can be hard to do more than the status quo. So we created Christian Parenting to give parents everywhere the practical and spiritual help they need, on as many platforms as possible.
With the right resources given to you in the right ways, growth can happen in the midst of the busyness. You don’t need to be perfect. In fact, growth comes as you embrace becoming perfectly imperfect.

3 Faith Principles for Navigating Youth Sports, with Dr. Dave.
Welcome to part II of our summer series on parenting and youth sports. Be sure to catch last week’s (packed!) episode if you missed it! Today my husband Dave is with us to consider 3 important FAITH PRINCIPLES that impact our kids’ athletic endeavors.
Background: Dave played soccer through the collegiate and professional level, and we are both super competitive people. We have navigated parenting our four sons through all kinds of recreational sports, and now our son, Luke, is a professional surfer, and our youngest son, Levi, is passionate about competitive golf.
In today's episode Dave and I are passing on principles that we have learned and are constantly working on in our own family. From the purpose of sports, to helping kids remain grounded in their identity (apart from sports), to keeping our family's priorities straight, I think this is all practical and relevant to all kinds of sports and other activities.
Whether your kids are highly competitive or just do sports for fun, I think we cover a lot of important ground in this conversation!

zhlédnutí 8Před 2 hodinami
Elijah was man with a fire and a hunger for the things of God. He could not stand by and watch evil and idolatry become the way of the people of God. To hunger and thirst after righteousness is to hunger and thirst after Jesus and it is the foundation of our walk with Him.

Even though we’re in the middle of summer, I can’t help but think about the upcoming school year. I am really wanting to get my kids new Bibles this year (something they can grow with) and today’s conversation fits perfectly with this train of thought. I’m joined by my real-life friend Amanda Jass, who was the editor on the Go Bible, a brand-new NLT Bible just for kids from Tyndale. Amanda is p...

Many people today would define meekness as "weakness." But nothing could be further from the truth. To be meek is to be like Jesus. To be meek is to be humble, to refrain from pride. As followers of Jesus, we are called to be meek in the midst of a self-absorbed world. Truth Seekers is a part of the Christian Parenting Podcast Network. Summer Series: Influencers for Jesus (Blessed are Those Who Mourn)
zhlédnutí 7Před 7 hodinami
Jesus spoke about those who mourn. He said that those who mourn will be comforted. We serve a God who cares about what concerns us. Those who have been redeemed and saved from sin, are grieved when they see sin and wickedness in the world. Followers of Jesus mourn over the effects of sin on this world. But we don't stay in a place of sadness. We trust that Jesus has conquered sin and death, and...
Summer Series: Influencers for Jesus (Blessed are the Poor in Spirit)
zhlédnutí 13Před 9 hodinami
The first Beatitude that Jesus gave us in His Sermon on the Mount is about those who are poor in spirit. To be poor in spirit means to understand that in ourselves, we have nothing. Without Jesus, we are poor in spirit. We can do nothing without Him. An influencer for Jesus is one that relies completely on Jesus. In this episode we look at the life of Esther as a woman who was poor in spirit an...

Do I have a drinking problem or thinking problem? With Jenn Kautsch - Story 6

When I engage with young moms, I often get asked a lot about alcohol. These women are wanting me to give them an “official answer” about how a Christian woman should handle alcohol. And I often don’t have the specific answer they want - because it is so often in the gray area. And only the person asking the question knows what’s going on under the issue. Today’s story is about a mom that got cu...
Can we Make Youth Sports Fun Again? With John O’Sullivan

Note: This is the first of a 3-part summer series on Youth Sports. (I'm so excited about this!) I hope you’ll spread the word and comment over in show notes to keep the conversation going. #215: The Parable of the Rich Fool (Seek God's Kingdom)
zhlédnutí 23Před 19 hodinami
Luke 12:13-34. Jesus called the man who became rich in this life but not rich towards God a fool. There is nothing wrong with saving and building wealth, but if that is all we seek for our salvation and security, then we are considered fools. To be rich towards God is to seek Him first in all things, His righteousness, and all the things we need will be added unto us. God has promised He would ...

Telling people they're "broken" results in shame, low self-esteem and psychological harm. Where did you get such a crazy idea? The Bible tells us we're all "made in God's image", we're all "very good".
This is disgraceful and likely to harm children and their families. If your kids ask about it, then explain that God makes each person differently, all part of the rich diversity in God's good creation. Gen 2 is fully consistent with gay relationships. Seriously, where does it talk about "God's design"? That ridiculous idea was invented 40 years ago: "the Bible only mentions men with women so other possibilities must be sin." The Bible only mentions acoustic instruments in worship. Does that mean electric instruments are a sin?

My daughter allows her kids age 14( girl) snd 9 yr boy to walk around the house in their underwear. Does modesty apply when at home with family?
My opinion, I apply at home to an extent...as a man I don't walk around my house without shirt and I don't allow my sons to walk around without shirt ...I always go to would you feel comfortable with your sister walking around in underwear?,again my opinion
I love that she said table manners can take years to learn. This will be my next book purchase.
This was so encouraging and just what I needed. Thank you!
1:40 _"very first questions from public school"_ Yeah right. Are you OK with lying for Jesus? Being gay, lesbian, bisexual or queer is OK. It's your god and you that have a problem with this. Therefor, the problem lies with your god and you. Not with the rest of humanity. I feel for your kids. What are you going to do if one of your kids turn out to be homosexual? Are you going to abandon them? Or treat them as garbage? Or force them to disregard their true feelings? Are the feelings of your god more important than those of your kids? And these kids are broken? How loving of you. You don't seem to give a shit about your kids. Only about your god.
You people are monsters, and I hope that you can figure out how to not be monsters before your kids figure out that they'd be happier without you in their lives.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!

“Our worldview is not everyone else’s worldview and the rules we follow are not everyone else’s rules. People of all different folks exist. And also evangelicalism is 200 year old American heresy.” That’s what you say. If you’re honest and not a complete ignoramous.

Tonight I had to show my son God’s RAW word no sugar coating, due to noticing how anime characters such as the men tend to look like women or a Disney character parent is gay or miraculous having a lesbian character I am absolutely tired of LGBT being shoved down children throat so I took upon myself to show my son Leviticus, 18:22 because I had enough and I need him to understand what the enemy is trying to do before it’s too late, like the Lord said, train up your children so they know how to go…. I thought I was being too harsh, but honestly I feel like I can breathe an we are more closer now that he knows what the enemys plot is
Leviticus 18.22 was an Israelite taboo against placing a male in a woman's role in bed which was shameful because women were assumed inferior to men. Their assumption was false. We now realize we are all joint heirs in Christ. Following Lev 18.22 is as taboo today as what it prohibited was taboo back then.
My husband is an atheist, with him being so closed to my kids, my 16 year old is becoming like him and having same belief. It’s hard to ask them to go to church with me. I’m dragging them every Sunday. Me and my husband are opposite with upbringing our kids. We talked but so much comprise. It’s hard to raise our kids when my husband is an atheist but I’ve been praying for them. I tried to be close with my kids but they are always into their cellphone and computers. Ask them to do something , help me with something…it takes awhile and sometimes not happening. I asked my husband to call the kids and he just said leave them alone, they are teenagers. Wow! Any idea on what to do? Have a blessed day and thank you so much for your program.
What age? When they are grown and out of my house. Protect your babies!
I am an aunt who is a believer and it is so hard watching my niece struggle at church events because of bullying at random and with different people. I stumbled on this video to understand the other side and the reason behind these issues. 🙏💛 I ask if everyone can please pray for my niece as she is still struggling with anger and hurt behind it. Thank you brothers and sisters.
Thank you!! This was a great encouragement!
Even teaching that sex before marriage is wrong is damaging… imagine teaching kids that being gay is wrong. I know it’s scary to consider that one of your core beliefs may be wrong, but consider that we choose to ignore the many sexist parts of the Bible by saying “It’s just cultural for the time period.” If you’re okay with that, then why not choose to ignore the alleged homophobic parts? Additionally, there is no evidence that gay people can change, rather there is evidence for the opposite. If one of your daughters is gay, please remember that despite your beliefs, your time with her is limited and you will regret not supporting her when you had time with her.
if you read Leviticus 1822, you would see that homosexuality is right next to bestiality which are abominations, I don’t want my child to go to hell for committing an abomination you can’t be a Christian an do your own will it’s gods will not yours anymore ….god also has removed homosexuality sin from countless people if you don’t believe that, you clearly do not have faith in the Lord
@@billybobbybill2924 If Lev 18.22 was about homoxesuality, it would have said "men don't lie with men" and "women don't lie with women". It says neither. Their concern was something else which we don't have a concept of today (thankfully, as it's based on women's assumed inferiority to men), so we mistakenly think it's about being gay. God has not "removed" it from countless people. Thousands have sought God to help them change and hardly any ever did. Those "countless" people simply chose to deny their nature and either stay single or force themselves into straight relationships, many of which failed as a result.
I doubt my parents are going to be this calm and reasonable when I stop going to church.
I just tell my kids the truth. Gayness is being pushed for votes.
❤❤❤
This is wonderful! What is an act or task that is more expected versus commissionable? One of our children wants to get paid for everything but that doesn’t seem to teach anything except greed and selfishness.
Never.

6-11 is normal ???
Yea, I'm not sure I agree that it's "normal".
I was like 6 or 7. Unfortunately:/
I'm a girl and I found it by accident. The things I saw messed me up, mentally. I was afraid of being left alone with boys my age or older because a kid who was also 7 tried to bribe me into touching him in exchange for a turn on the Xbox. He didn't even know how it was supposed to be done and I didn't want to do it. I ended up just watching him play Tony Hawk Shred, never getting a turn despite his mom demanding he share. Ouch.
It's normalized, it's the average age millions of kids all over the world first get exposed to pornography, a lot of times even hardcore pornography, with violent and extremely degrading elements.
Rules without Relationship breed Rebellion! Relationship without Rules breeds Entitlement! So good! 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks for sharing!! The media is forcing it on our babies!! But God will conquer all. 🙏🏿
Kids just releasing their anger inside at times when they "bully", which could be caused by many factors (family abuse, violence on tv/social media, etc..) . I think it's important to meditate (e.g. bible verses on anger #Galatians5) in God's word daily (morning when they get up and evening before they go to bed) with your child.

If all europe and US men become gay since they are pushing the agenda so hard we will take care of their women 🤣 we have your backs dont worry 😜
We gay people are in commercials in movies in even talkshowd even in disney movies and that is how it should be and as long as that is the case children Will see and understand that there is nothing wrong with us we are just normal like any one else!
If an incomprehensible being outside of time, space and matter created the stars so plentiful that we can not count to the complex microscopic DNA which we cannot replicate, then it's safe to say that the instructions he leaves for us is the base for reality. No one is dehumanizing you. I love you as a person, with all my heart. I'd give my life to save yours even though we don't know each other. Because I am 1000% convinced there is life beyond this physical world, it destroys me to see people reject an eternity with GOD. That's why I want you to know that sin is sin. We all have our own desires we ought not act upon. My sinful struggle was porn addiction. I didn't break it over night. No it took me over 10 years. This society told me that it was ok for me to do that but that didn't make my actions true. The blueprints for a happy lasting and fulfilling life's here for all of us, and what Christian wouldn't want to give THEIR children that chance to chose it? Are you Christian by any chance? Regardless, I'd love to share with you a little 30 min segment below, that includes the experiences of people that feel the same way as you that I believe you'd find relevant and interesting. Much love. czcams.com/video/k52WoXBCesU/video.html
Unfortunately, you are incorrect. Normalizing the behavior is your agenda. However, our job as a Christians is to put morals and ethics back into society. To do this, we must push this perversion back into the bedroom. It should have never left the privacy of one's home. It is not normal behavior, no matter what spin you put on it🤷♂️.
Iam so sick of this that in 2022 it still is a topic iam gay and i do not want to be the centre of this just tell your children it is ok to love any one you want end of story

God’s love and the world’s love are completely different.
It's not ok that's the point🤦♂️
@@moralityIsHard It IS OK. Stop being such an asshole towards LGB people!
..Everything is in gods design but okay.
Through free will given, Satan and the fallen angels have perverted many things. The absolutes remain, yet the false construct replacing them are there. It all has to do with our perception. Red is red, but if a society chose to say red is blue then that wouldn't change the absolute that red is red. We wrestle against principalities and powers. Every thing is in GOD's design. I can design a bucket to store water, but what if someone took that bucket and said it is used to store acid and everyone followed this? Would that negate the fact that its in my design? no it wouldn't.
Spoken like someone who has never read Genesis. It is the first book🤦♂️🤦♂️
