Which do you prefer? This or the shogun? I'm coming from a SK Luxx so I love the control of it.
They are pretty different playing experiences, so it really depends on what I’m feeling and what kind of game I’m looking to play. I think the Shogun is a more offensive paddle with more power, whereas the Fat Boy is more well-rounded and consistent with much easier control. Coming from the Luxx, the Fat Boy would be a easier adjustment out of the two.
@@scooterreviewsstuff Perfect. Thanks for the info!
No problem!
I hope I made the deadline!
Terrible naming. Too close to each other
I agree! Hopefully they’ll fix their naming system soon.
Very interested in trying out this tech!
Thanks for the review! I’m a fan of the twoey so this seems like something I’d try out.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts
First time hearing about this brand. Would be great to have the opportunity to try it
You had me at Gen3 done right! Good paddle feedback.
Congratulations! You won the giveaway! Can you give me a good email to contact you?
@@scooterreviewsstuffDo you have an Instagram account I could message or did you want me just to put it out here in the open?
Sorry…i didn’t realize that would be so complicated (first giveaway) You can shoot me a dm @scootertakesphotos on instagram or email me at scooterreviewsstuff@gmail.com
I am looking to upgrade my paddle. I like the idea of supporting new paddle companies. This one looks promising for my play style.
The tek part of the name reminds me of paddletek. Would like to try this out.
I love that you're highlighting smaller up and coming paddle brands. Many of the top brands now in terms of paddle quality were unheard of a year or 2 ago.
Thanks for the review! Hoping to possibly win this!
Would love to test out the core technology
I'd love to try this out because I like bringing newer brands to the courts
Interesting paddle. Would love to give it a try.
Springiness is a good thing for paddles. General speaking, between carbon fiber, Kevlar and platinum, which one is the easiest to control?
There are a lot of variables to consider when answering that question and I think a lot of them are subjective, but I'll give my very surface level opinion. I think carbon fiber is the easiest overall because it's very linear. It has a very consistent feel throughout all shots. Kevlar is much more dynamic and it can feel very soft when drinking but much more stiff feeling when driving the ball. Titanium is also dynamic but less so than Kevlar. However, it is significantly springier than carbon or Kevlar. But with that being said, I find the shogun and its titanium easier to control than the filth with its carbon, which is where the personal preference comes in.
All about supporting upcoming companies. Thank you for my chance to win a revolutionary paddle
The Nomex core, 18K Carbon Fiber Omega sounds very intriguing. My first paddle was the Z5, which is also Nomex, and I've always liked it as a beginner paddle. I'm hoping they'll let the winner choose between the Alpha and Omega! Thanks for the review.
I have never heard of a paddle woth foam in it, sounds interesting lol.
As someone that comes from tennis, a longer handle that translates to easier to handed hits sounds amazing. I might just have to pick me up one of these paddles lol
I need the power!!!
The new core technology they use is intriguing. I'm going to enjoy trying it out as soon as I can. Thanks for bringing this new company to our attention. Always good finding out about new pb companies.
Great video!
Legal Gen 3? Nice
I'd love to try this out. Love the new brands coming up with paddles
These look fire!
Im unsure about foam, but the control of the alpha seems to be pretty great!
I love all the new tech we are getting - definitely want to try out their new core!
Foam core sounds like a solid feel
I have this paddle and I am very happy with it. For me, it’s the spin characteristic that is most notable. Thanks to Neonic, which makes very afford and quality paddles!
Glad you enjoy it! The spin on their paddles is great and the quality/price ratio is hard to beat!
The omega sounds interesting - a lot of people have tried to use nomex in cores but surrounding it with foam is a new approach. I'd love to try it
Thanks so much for your review! Really glad you enjoyed the paddles. We will be restocking this week.
I love the paddle and would like to use it at my club in Sydney Australia
Sounds like a great paddle!!
Giveaway details Giveaway ends on July 17th Due to shipping, the giveaway is limited to residents of the United States. The winner will be contacted directly via this page Good luck, and thanks for the support!
what a neat paddle!
Cool! I can’t wait to try something new and see how they make improvements in their next batch!
Love this paddle. Great for the $. Thanks.
Thank you for the review. I noticed the Alpha uses raw 3K carbon fiber while the Omega uses 18K, so the Alpha is softer?
That's correct! The Alpha is significantly softer than the Omega and I would say they're actually at opposite ends of the spectrum. The Alpha has a very soft and plush feel, whereas the Omega is the stiffest paddle I've ever used.
alpha looks awesome. i feel like i've got no control with my current paddle. may i askk when the giveway is end?
A good control paddle can be a game changer! Also, thanks for asking. I forgot to put those details in the video. I'm going to run the giveaway for one month, so I'll reply to the winner's comment on July 17th.
Great concise review! Keep it up. I’ve been addicted to paddle reviews while I’ve been trying to decide what to potentially get next. Right now all I have is a Head Extreme Elite that I got at Dicks for $40 haha. Love the idea of the 6” handle on these since I do use a two handed backhand. Seems like a solid upgrade. Thanks for the review and the chance at the giveaway! Subbed and liked ❤
Thanks so much! I am also addicted to watching paddle reviews and there are so many good paddles out there now, so I get it!
I appreciate your review! I could really use as paddle with some more power so I'd be interested in trying the alpha.
Very nice!
For $200 bucks, what else do you guys recommend for a high-beginner player??
I think there are a few different ways you could go based on what your playstyle is and what attributes you'd like from your paddle. Are you looking for more control or more power? And do you have a preference for the paddle shape?
Enjoy a $10 discount using code SWIFT10 on all VaticPro paddles. Don't miss out on this exclusive offer!
where did you get that edge guard tape and also grip ?
The edge tape is actually just electrical tape! It’s super cheap and comes in a variety of colors. The overgrips i have on these is Tournagrip, but I think I’m making the switch to Luqi grips soon.
@@scooterreviewsstuff thanks man 🙌🏼
Would you recommend this paddle or the Friday paddle??
I think the Friday paddles are great for the price, but I definitely think Bread & Butter offers a higher quality product if you don’t mind the slightly higher price point.
@@scooterreviewsstuff thank you. I am leaning towards the shogun (hopefully get it tomorrow to try) or the filth. My serve and striking are my strong suits
@@Nmaisch08 the Shogun is looking really good! I’m hoping to get my hands on one soon as well.
Power Air Amped…….
Still a very good paddle in 2024. I've added lead tape on the four corners and a small patch at the top center and it's a perfect balance of power and control. Recommended for players that are intermediate to advance. My 2 cents.
It’s a fun paddle! Especially once you add a bit of lead/tungsten to it.
