This is absolutely incredible. So great to see the graphics come to life all these years later; a true throwback to my early childhood as my cable company upgraded the the XL not too long after I started watching TWC!

That storm gave me 12.5 inches of snow. That was more than the entire 2019-2020 season, which only gave me 6.3 inches. This was also my first double digit snowfall since March 21, 2018 when 19 inches fell.

That same storm gave me a windstorm that night with constant 40-50 mph wind gusts with some higher gusts at times. I even peaked at 58 mph. I even had a Severe Thunderstorm Warning at 6 AM the next morning. I did not sleep well that night due to the constant high winds.

That was a crazy storm even for Florida. Ian came into my area here in PA a few days later with 5 rainy days in a row. I got 4.5 inches of rain from Ian, but because it came over 5 days, there was no flooding.

That same storm system brought some wintry weather for me the next day with 0.2 inch of snow/sleet with a light glaze of ice before going over to rain.

That was less than 24 hours before a heavy rainstorm began hitting the Mid Atlantic.

This was taken as a significant rainstorm was hitting my area. I got 4.47 inches of rain that night into the following morning with flooding reported. I would end up with over 13 inches of rain in December 2023 alone.

Awesome video. I got 3.6 inches of snow/sleet from that storm here in PA.

Awesome video. That same storm moved up the east coast and gave me 5 inches of snow. I only had a Winter Weather Advisory because I live in PA and are more accustomed to the snow.

It was really awesome to have the remnants of Beryl come up here to the mitten, and to say that we were a part of such a record-breaking hurricane. I learned to drive in 2010, but other than the dad and I going out to Newburgh NY to meet Irene in 2011, this was my first opportunity to drive through a tropical system or its remnants. Beryl’s remnants came in mostly overnight that Tuesday night, and I spent all night driving in it.

Just realized the location name was misspelled on the extended forecast (oops!).. that’ll be fixed in future videos I make with this location. The original Star had lots of degradation which made it hard to read

Hard to believe it's 10 years already since the analog shutdown of The Weather Channel. The end of 2024 will also mark the 20th anniversary of the shutdown of the WeatherSTAR 3000 (III) as well. That was the first legacy STAR model in TWC's history that was retired.

The 4000's software was lost after the analog shutdown? I did not realize that. Hard to believe as well that it's been so long since we lost the analog STARs. You called TWC homogenized now, and I couldn't agree more.
