I agree that the hobby boss Panther was lacking do I didn't pull the trigger on that one. The Dicker Max was a pleasant surprise and yes the details on the kit are VERY good. Yes confirmed you have to glue them for sure. Although I never glue the drive or idler sprockets just so l can install the friulmodel tracks easier.

I have the Panzer IV f2 and on ebay a company finally came out with a metal barrel option . I'm told the Panther's hull machine gun hatch is molded closed otherwise I would have bought it.

You're absolutely right. The Hungarian tanks did not have zimmerit. The 44 m TAS design I think, took some tips from the German Panther tank after Hungarian tank crews trained in Germany. The 44 m TAS never made it to the battlefield so this is a total what if on my part that their German allies would have shared their zimmerit recipe with their ally had the 44m tas made it it to mass production. Just having some fun 😁

Don't be sorry at all, you're completely right. Most people and model kit producers label it Porshe turret. If I label the video production turret it won't get as many views. I'm glad you liked it, it was a good project. Your right on the turret but history frequently gets things wrong and what history gets wrong tends to stick in people's minds unfortunately.

@@Ricksarmoredmodels8539 henschel turret is better armored but it's just a box honestly, porsche looks more smooth especially when you look from the front

@waterwhitereal I completely agree. Henschel was easier to assemble and it got rid of the shot trap of the Porshe curved turret.

What if we put a chin underneath the turret to stop the trap shot? Like the one on the panther G, would it solve the problem? Maybe 2 chin's?

@chesse_spell_book perhaps your right, I always thought they were too heavy ( for most bridges) and consumed way too much fuel. But as modelers they have fantastic lines and I love them.

Turret turns 360, Tamiya makes it in 1/48 and between 25- 30 dollars for a kit. I hope you liked it.

@ljscalemodels526 absolutely! The ridged wheel search was a labor of love for the hobby my friend.

1/48 scale is a good budget scale. You build them straight out of the box and you can have a great result. It's a personal choice for me that I buy metal barrels and metal tracks. You can make your own grab handles out of spare stiff wire, that is an easy upgrade . Dig in its a great hobby, good luck and thank you for watching. Rick
