The Truth About Fintechs.
Yotta has had their accounts frozen for almost a month now; which I just realized myself yesterday, I didn't have much only about $150, and it goes to show how vulnerable Fintechs are. In my personal opinion, I haven't shared out loud yet are, Fintechs should be treated only as beta test programs. I've seen many Fintechs that are scammy or close down only within a couple of months. Then if the Fintech is successful they should partner up with a legitimate bank like how Bilt did it. They use to be a closed-off beta but after they partnered with a reputable bank (Wells Fargo) then they released to the public to use. It hasn't been perfect but definitely safer for the people to do it in this way. However for the Yotta situation there does seem to be good news in that they finally got the documents from Synapses; so there could be a real solution in the next coming of weeks.

Quite a bit; I like to try new things haha. Of course, I don't put too much money or time into it since I see them as more test programs. I got Yotta, Curve, Moneyworld, X1, and some others I can't think of right now.

I agree amex plat concierge is a hit and miss.
That could be the case; however, it seems to be a policy change that prevents them from helping with some of those tasks we tried to get them to do.

It’s funny how Amex is great until the annual fees hit and folks realize they are not the target customer for their cards…
Ha! You're not wrong. However, at the time the card worked well for me, I moved, and some of the credits are harder to use and they changed the entertainment credit. Plus my home airport doesn't have any Amex lounges, unfortunately, and a bunch of direct flights. So for me, it didn't make sense to keep any longer.

I was stuck in a timeshare presentation for three hours, just to get two Disney tickets for free! They initially asked for 25K then lowered the price to 2K at the end but I declined because I've started to inquire about the yearly membership fee...😆

This was eye opening and a great video with Anthony venture. I honestly feel like the anex concierge service should have been dq'd.....the average person is not gonna force them repeatedly to do their job & give recommendations. At that point its just a very clear dq. When they brought up "yeaaa, cause get that nice uber benifit every month" I was done......
Right! I can't believe all the different ways we had to ask for suggestions for activities. I don't think it was shown in the video but Anthony asked like 5 times, in different wording; it wasn't until the third transfer, as you heard, we were actually was able to get it done. I actually do Timeshare meetings for fun. Most you have to wait 1 year before attending again. All of the small off brand Timeshare are a waste of time they will offer stuff like 3/4 night or a cruise. The gift themselves are scams. Just do presentation that give gift cards or points only.

You can short the whole sales process by simply, and in a loud voice so other suckers, oops I mean potential customers, can hear you. Just say. "I am very interested but will only consider signing if you amend the contract to include a clause that allows me to cancel any time without cost or any other further payments owing". This will sent the sales people into a spin because nobody in the room has the authority to agree to variations in the contract. Guaranteed you will immediately be marched to the exit to collect your attendance prize.

Right! It’s so crazy, it was functioning for such a long time until Yotta “revamped” their program. Honestly I didn’t know my funds were stuck in Yotta until yesterday (apparently it’s been like this for weeks). But for sure, I’ll be connecting with Anthony and hopefully we can get the word further out, so this situation can be fixed as soon as possible and you can get access back to your funds. I honestly think its crazy how much Yotta has strayed from their identity. With all the new games they added, they're business model is becoming a place that encourages gambling rather than saving.

That crazy- last time I used Amex's concierge with the HIlton Aspire card and the platinum in 2018/2019 it was infinitely better- short wait time, no transferring and back and forth, it just worked and it was really easy to get everything I needed. They'd email me a guide with recommendations, they'd book me reservations, basically a done for you service? If I'm calling you for help I don't want you to hear "Do you have the app for X", or "The hotel's concierge could help you".
Interesting, I wonder if every Amex call happens this way would be a fun test to see many calls unfold. I’m sure there are still a few Amex reps holding the old Amex standards especially for premium card holders hmmm.
So I've called the Amex concierge over the years and at first I thought it was great because I didn't have anything to compare it to. Before they switched to GetYourGuide, for an itinerary they gave me a pamphlet you can usually find in those visitor centers. After that I called a couple of times to ask for activity recommendations and every time they pushed me to GetYourGuide. As for restaurants they've never been able to get me into anywhere that has no slots. So I kind of knew the outcome of the Amex concierge before making this video. What was surprising was how good the Mastercard concierge was. I never expected that quality of service from Mastercard. Like I knew Amex concierge was not that useful but I thought maybe it would still be better than Mastercard and Visa.
Add the JP Morgan Concierge to the competition that’s available with the Ritz Carlton Card. It’s on the back of your card

@@WhatsThePoints1 that is correct! It is an in house concierge only for JP Morgan Reserve and Ritz Carlton cardholders. They rival the best concierges including the Amex Centurion.

The Amex Platinum concierge has degraded a lot in the past few years. It's basically just a glorified Amex travel and Resy service now, very cookie cutter experience.
Honestly I think it may be even worse. They basically direct you to those services unless you continuously ask for a recommendation. I didn’t show it in this video, but the Amex concierge tried to get us off the phone until Anthony kept being persistent to get at least some recommendations. (That’s kind of why you see Anthony so frustrated in the video).
