Can this type of corn be cultivated in tropical areas?
Great video! Thank you. ❤
So just leave regular corn cobs in the window to dry for 6 weeks? Then you have squirrel bait, in my case since I don't do well with eating popcorn myself.
Great gift idea!
I've always wondered how this was done. Thanks for sharing! 🌽
thanks for sharing 😄
Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks
If you use your hands and twist all the kernels will fall off
Subscribed, hope you're doing well thanks for sharing
The Date showing on Display 2099-15-31 shows the POOR quality of the firmware of the device.
She has to set up time and date first, then delete dose history. Then the dose date will show the correct start date.
@@DennisSantos THANK YOU!!! Worked right away, bugged me! Just got my unit yesterday.
Great video!
What kind or breed of corn is it?
Great video! My friend and I loved watching this. Very relaxing and informative
Just the vid I was looking for! Now I’ll have to do that this summer
do you have the issue that the system clock resets everytime when you power off the device?
I have an nr-750 and it has the same issue
I seen another video where they said you have to save it after setting it. Iv never attempted it so hope it works for you guys
Measuring nuclear substances is difficult because you have to know what kind of substance it is. The most important thing is the measuring speed so that you know that something is going on in the environment, and when you are in a safe environment.
Where to go if you dont have a basement....takes us to a basement. Wow.....thanks.
Thank you! Looks fun
Can I add dried flowers ? And how would I go about doing that?
I have never tried that before, so can't really say. However, what I typically do when I want to try something new is just to experiment a bit. Would love to see a picture if you do it!
Love it.
Thank you!
What varieties of popcorn have you grown?
I actually didn't write down what kind this was. That was my experiment for the year so I don't grow it every year.
Love this idea. Im really trying to get my best friends into being preppers even at a basic level, because groups are better than individuals. I've started giving them old knives or knives that come with premade kits. Guys cant help but be interested in a cool knife.
Knives are good! My husband gave me one last year for Christmas--it was on my list.
Super cute idea! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you!
I get the feeling Survival Lilly influenced many people including myself into buying one of these. ☢️😁👍
i too was influenced by regret it. this product build quality is poor( front screen is a think plastic cover which scratches easily and the main issue is that the system clock resets everytime you turn the device off.
Very helpful instructions; thank you, they look great!
I really like this but im a KLUTZ when making something i like working with my hands but everything i make looks like Snuffy Smith. So i wish you had shown how you builsd it as i want one or maybe someone could go into business making them
I did it just like this and cannot taste the root beer
Increase moisture in popcorn
Great job on this video. I like that you keep it simple and you speak very clearly. I’ve been making ginger candy and now can’t wait to make root beer. Thanks for sharing this.
Finally i watched how its made, wow didn't know it's so simple, thank you.
Why glue the cup to the teacup?
I guess it was just personal preference at the time. I was giving these away as gifts and never thought they would be used as drinking cups again. They do not need to be glued if you prefer not to.
Many thanks ! You did well ! Great job. The expenses to just start a garden is more than many people can afford. These purchases were excellent. Great investment for your cost.
Thank you. I am glad you enjoyed.
Amazing video. Thank you very much. My kids are popcorn magnets 😆 🤣. So this is definitely useful. I can't wait till spring now.
Let me know how it turns out!
Please don't spend too much time close to that your clock. It's radiation level is very unsafe. 11.42uSv/hr is the threshold above wish you have a 5% chance of developing cancer during your lifetime if absorbed for a full year. This means if you were to carry that clock in your person for a full year, then there is documented evidence that out of every 100 people who do the same, 5 of them develop some form of cancer during their lifetime. Thank you for posting, and please stay safe.
Don't be so hysterical. The device's measuring in microsievrts and most likely over estimating the radiation measured given it's a cheap device and not very accurate. Also the radiation emitted is mostly alpha and beta with a small amount of gamma. The alpha is stopped by the glass on the clock and the beta has limited penetration on human flesh. As long as any paint flakes are not handled directly and or inhaled/ingested you have no problem. As long as the clock is not taken apart and the radium paint is exposed it is not a big issue.
How would one "carry that clock _in_ your person" ?
@@jayytee8062 " the radiation emitted is mostly alpha and beta with a small amount of gamma. The alpha is stopped by the glass" would the radiation detected already have penetrated the glass for it to be detected by the detector that is outside the glass barrier? i must have missed something here?
very nice
Some advice based on past failures... Do a test boil of just water: boiling temp should be 212 deg F. If it doesn't hold there while boiling (you might want to wait a bit to let it stabilize), add the difference from the 300 deg F you're supposed to reach. That might be your thermometer, atmospheric pressure, or the water itself might not be pure. If you live in a high heat and/or humidity place and can't control the environment in your kitchen, add an extra 2 deg F to your final temp. While doing your test boil, move the thermometer around the pot to find the hottest point. Stove tops don't heat evenly, so there'll usually be a spot that's hotter than the rest, and that's where you want to measure. If you measure somewhere else you'll go over the temp. You can swirl it a bit to spread some of the heat, but be gentle and don't get too much on the sides of the pot. If your candy doesn't harden properly, chances are it's because of one of the above issues, or because of a bad thermomenter (my first candy thermometer was broken despite being brand new. Digital or traditional, test them regularly to make sure they work properly). The heat level for the stove should be a little past medium. On a clock-like scale of 1-12, put it at about a 6:30 or 7. Heating too fast might burn the sugar, but you still want to boil out all of the water. I add my flavoring in around 250 deg F on the cool-down side to avoid too much burning of the flavoring. Depending on whether you use flavoring oil or flavoring extract, temperature matters; with oil you can add it in earlier. Specifically for root beer extract, it doesn't mix well and ends up getting messy when I add it around that temperature. Works real well for every other flavor, though. Not sure why. (Maybe I should add it in earlier for that one only?) Use silicone matts and utensils whenever possible. The candy solution doesn't stick to them, so you don't need to oil them like you would metal or other materials. Some recipes call for you to roll your candy into ropes and cut it with scissors. If you do it can get really rough on your hands and the scissors, so use molds (silicone of course), the pizza cutter method in the video...or a hammer if you like jagged and uneven pieces for the aesthetic (if you go that route, use a metal pan instead of a silicone matt). Some other recipes like lemon or orange call for citric acid (found in the canning section of stores, not the cooking/baking sections!) to give it the bite. I've seen 2 tsp, but that can overwhelm the flavor and make it hard to tell if you got it right. 1/4 tsp is the perfect complement to the natural flavor. Powdered sugar is nice, but fine (confectioner's) sugar gives it some texture. If you wanted to get somewhat artsy, you could layer your surface with powdered sugar and create sugary white streaks in your candy that enhance the sweetness.
Wow! You sound like you have done this before! Thanks for all of the tips!
@@incidentalprepper2566 No problemo. I kept having problems with root beer, so I ended up doing a lot of research. Turned out that my very first candy thermometer was broken despite being brand new, so I got a new one and started boil testing to make sure it was working properly each new session. That worked well for making the base syrup not burn, as did adding the extra 2 deg for humidity, and my non-root beer candies rejoiced, but my root beer and later grape candies were still sad and gooey. The dark extracts and oils both consistently had that problem, but not the clear ones. The next tip I found was to add the flavoring at 260 as it was heating, rather than as it was cooling, in order to boil the moisture out of the flavors. Next batch I'll be trying that. It makes a lot of sense, since the darker extracts are thicker and stick to my teaspoon where the others don't. Edit: adding in the root beer flavoring at 260 as it was heating did the job. It turned out just like the rest of my lighter-colored candies. Most people say not to stir while it's boiling, but when you add in the flavor early like this you have to. Just do it gently.
I just got done making this but broke mine into pieces mine's a lot lighter than yours but I also used Watkins root beer flavoring.
I hope you liked it. I used Watkins once too. It was good. I also sometimes break them into pieces. Thanks for watching.
It's good to have on hand, if something happens you can turn it on and sleep well knowing you'll be woken up if it's time to leave your area.
Hi from australia, just a quick question, you said one block per cup, how much did the blocks weigh?, im using wax flakes, would i need to do 2 cups of wax per one cup. Hope that makes sense…LOL have an awesome day/night
What a beautiful craft! Thanks for the great video!
What type of wax do you use please.
This is so cool

HI THERE, CAN ALL CORN BE MADE INTO POPCORN?
I am not sure of all of the differences, but no. When I grew the popcorn, I bought actual popcorn seeds which are different from other kinds of corn. Thanks for watching.
I'm actually eating popcorn right now
Nice. Good idea of putting can storage on the back of something so as to limit the footprint. Having a can limit also a good idea.
Thanks from MBCME -R-Moneyyy
If you wanted to add essential oils, at which point in the process would you do it? In the pot, or in the candle itself?
Thanks for the information I couldn't find this on the internet how to dry the popcorn's so thank you very much ☺️☺️
