I feel you girl. my middle school "best friend" moved to another city before high school, and I was the only one who showed up to the first sleepover at her new place, but a few months or weeks? later I couldn't go for her birthday party (I woke up really sick that day, throwing up and stuff) and all the other fiends went. that was the last time we talked. its like I was just dropped (this is the second really close friend who I had this happen with), and our other mutual friend always acted like she didn't know anything but whatever. I also have attachment issues lmao and I also confronted her about it some years later but ofc she couldn't give me a legit answer. this does not have a happy ending for me though lol. I'm anxious avoidant so I never got close enough to my friends in high school and as I neared the last year, I had everyone at arms length. then after I graduated 1 semester early, literally no one ever reached out. and I'm not putting 100% blame on them. I know I was distant and I also could've reached out but I had (still have) abandonment issues and I felt like I was never important to any of them, and turns out I was right. im turning 24 next month and I'm still not okay lmao. I didn't go to college because my social anxiety turned into borderline agoraphobia (I say borderline bc I haven't been diagnosed but it really seems like it) I did some odd jobs for a few years before my parents forced me to get a real job and I've been working at a lawfirm that my mom works at for a year and a half now and I just avoid everyone. I hate it I feel like they think I'm a loser who is always sticking by her mommy. but whatever, I'd rather that than feel the pain of abandonment again. idk you lol. I just came to watch you cut your hair (which is gorgeous btw and so are you) but hearing your rant at the end really resonated with what I went through. idk if you have any mental illnesses too, or anything, but I really hope you don't give up trying to find your people because hearing you reflect about how you used to be angry with your mom, and hearing how you've gotten to a place of understanding and acceptance, I think that's really great for anyone. it shows maturity and empathy and those are some great qualities to have in a friend. so I hope you're able to make the most out of your new life :)
