I never knew Hadi Diwan until I watch this video, but I pray to Allah to make my son having so much compassion in learning like him, especially in learning Islam in such young age. My condolences to his family and friends. Having heard his story from sheikh, he is an inspiration not just to young but probably to adults too, like myself, to stay consistent in learning our deen. This is my note from this class: The Hurdle of Hindrances that are going to preoccupy you, make you busy from truly worshiping Allah. If you don’t push away these things you will be too busy and you will be distracted from your purpose, the purpose of your creation. This class is going to talk about one of the 4 valleys of the Hurdle of Hindrances, the Rizq, everything that Allah has written for us to consume. To overcome this hurdle we need to have complete trust and reliance on Allah. 2 reasons why we need to trust fully in Allah and have Tawakkul in Allah: 1. For our hearts to be free to worship Allah. Our preoccupation with earning, stocking, and bringing in distracts us from truly worshiping Allah. Chasing after Rizq will bus us so much that we will forget to worship Allah. We are chasing after something that is chasing after us. Our Rizq chases us like the death chases us. We have to reach a point where our Tawakkul is like we work hard like a person who thinks that nothing can save him except their actions but deep down inside believes that nothing will reach us except what Allah has written for us. We have to free our hearts from the concern of our Rizq, not stop working but stop worrying about work so much. A lot of us are constantly waiting for Allah’s punishment when we need to be constantly waiting for Allah’s blessing. 2 ways we are going to be busy: 1. Externally, we have no time. We are working so hard. 2. Internally, we are free but our minds are always at work. Even when we are praying our minds are grinding. Remove from your heart, everything other than Allah, detach your heart from it. Ibadah needs a clean heart and free body so that you can fulfill it. The only way you’ll find containment in the heart is when you know for sure that Allah has taken care of you and is there for you. People will give you thousands of reasons why things won’t work and I’ll give you one reason why it’ll work- Allah. You will not be able to handle the difficulties that the world will throw at you unless you become the person of the Akhirah. Every person that you see suffering loss, especially from the people of Palestine, all say, “See you in Jannah.” because they are the people of the Akhirah, they know that this world is temporary, it’s pointless. 2. It’ll drive us crazy if we don’t have Tawakkul in Allah, the worries, and the difficulties we will go through will drive us crazy. The absence of Tawakkul will drive us crazy. The more Tawakkul we have the more peace of mind we will have. The Rizq is from Allah but the path that He chooses changes for what’s written for you. You are going to eat no matter what but the path He chooses for that to come may switch up. When He chooses for the path to change don’t doubt that, He’s the provider still. Tawakkul is used for 3 contexts/ scenarios/ areas in your life: 1. The first one is- What has been ordained, what has been divided, what has been written. You must know that what is written for you will never miss you. 2. The second is- knowing that the help of Allah will come. Allah will always be there for you, trust in Allah, Allah’s help is coming. 3. The last is- to trust that Allah will provide for you. He will give you regardless of the source from where it comes.
