HARD agree!!! As much as I wish there were real multiplayer, I love what is in the game and the story itself is so charming, not to mention the gaddgets that are both fun to use and fun to collect

Hell ya man! I grew up with these games as well bud. I remember when Sonic & Knuckles came out, it was a literal game changer. It was so awesome that you could literally change the story in the 2nd and 3rd games playing as Knuckles. I, like you could not beat the 2nd game without save states and same with getting Super Sonic because some of those f'n bonus levels (after the 3rd or 4th) get F'n ABSURD!! It's always awesome watching other fellow sub-gen people born in the mid 80's that know what's up.

I genuinely think that the good in there is the final boss theme

It was difficult as a child but once you notice the death egg robot as an easy rythm it becomes suprisingly easy to beat. And with silver sonic. Stand underneath him in the front half and spindash for 4 seconds after he landed you should be able to get 3-4 free hits in before he spindashes himself. His attacks also follow the same pattern every time so even if you die you can learn his attacks. (And i thought i was a bad gamer yet here i am explaining 2 bossfights which are basically just memorize patterns to a guy lmao. )

i would prefer if sega stayed with the concept art and made death egg a whole zone

Here's the trick: Hit the robot's stomach at exactly the same time you hear it make a foot stomp, and you won't get hurt.

Sonic 2 is incredibly easy, Death Egg is needed for any sort of challenge.

Just goes on so darn long. One collision glitch and start all over again! Even worse with Knuckles’ low jump height.

The chemical plant thing is so relatable occasionally i got past it but then i got stuck on death egg and eventually i beat it.
