Give the Golem a 45 degree sweep attack where it hits everyone in a cone with its weapon hand with an extra 20' range. its arm has a braided cable that retracts again after swing. Also give it a rune of "heat metal" that recharges on a 5-6 on D6, this adds damage as well as regenerates the Golem's HP.

Why is it healed by fire and have a poison gas attack? My only thought is maybe its creator gave it that which makes me think why not give a list of variants to switch those abilities out for. Here's some of my ideas and some of the ideas that were in chat: Sudden Expulsion: When this creature is reduced to zero hit points it releases any remaining poison gas, any living creature within 30 ft makes a Con save vs poison damage. Lingering Cloud: The gas cloud remains for multiple turns. Ignitable Cloud: If there is an ignition source in the area, any creature in the area suffers the effect of a fireball spell. (May need damage change) Flail: Inrease range of main weapon by 2. Shield: Increase AC by 2. Eye Beams (Recharge 5-6): Choose an elemental effect to use as a ranged attack. Rune Fist: Choose an elemental type and add that damage type to fist attacks. Spiked Body: Adds damage to a grappled creature, to fist attacks or otherwise touch the creature during combat. Grappling Hook: Replaces the fist. Ranged attack, target makes Str save or is pulled to this creature. I think most of these could be added to most golems as variations that their creator choose when making it. And I'm sure there could be a lot more fun ideas.

My party's first encounter with Strahd was so intimidating we avoided him at every opportunity. My character acted as Charisma bait to keep him from getting too upset. It worked great right up until it didn't.

My hook is that I just went straight to the fog… they’re in a caravan (players get to choose how and why they’re in a caravan). The caravan comes out at a great tree… they try to leave through the fog again but keep coming back to the tree. I think that in the case of draconic barbarian, when you take the talent of draconic skin, doesn't make sense that doesn't stack in some way, because if you are not wearing armor, both, your class plus as a barbarian (+2 from constitution bonus in unarmored defense) and your base CA for the draconic skin (13) have to be part of the equations, because talking in rolling, doesn't make sanse that one affect the other in a bad way. I suggest as a dungeon master, that in this particular case, the draconic skin and the barbarian unarmored defense, you have to take the value of the formula that gives more stacks and use it in a new formula that you as a dungeon master allow. As example: Unarmored defense (barbarian): 10CA+dexterity+constitution Draconic skin: 13CA+dexterity If you combine this formula you take the "best stat" of each term: 13CA+dexterity+constitution And you leave it there

My brother got this as a gift but wants to be a player asked me to DM. I’ve played other games like D&D but this is my first time actually being DM in D&D. This is very helpful, thank you. If it’s not doing much with its reaction anyway, I could see a mummy lord using Absorb Elements to patch up its fire weakness. Not actually a cleric spell, but you can handwave it.
