Silver Filter for Canon-Spout Kettles
We are excited to offer these pure silver filters for the old canon-spout kettles. Many of these are just sitting on shelves when they could be used as large kitchen pots or perhaps for boiling tea. These are completely free! If you have one of these kettles please email us so we can send one of the filters to you.

When & Why to Break Up a Puerh Tea Cake
This was absolutely beautiful! I will host tea ceramonies with my community. Thank you for sharing your passion and wisdom
Love the energy of the video !! thanks connor!
Can you do this with puerh?
yes
How do you heat the kettle? XD Like over a fire or something?
we heat water elsewhere and keep warm on charcoal or alcohol. Charcoal is ideal
@@globalteahut I see
Do you know anything about gyokuro and sencha from the 1960s?
This is Taiwanese sencha, which was produced here up until the late 1970s and maybe beyond that. After that, it went out of fashion in Taiwan.
I loved these experiment videos so much and am disappointed that you did not continue. If you are not going to continue, could you at least tell me what other experiments I might want to try?
We have a few issues of the magazine devoted to experiments, where you can find many more. Glad you like them.
Thank you very much for Pu'erh support. My 2021 cake has a 2025 expiration date. What have they done to it?
not sure. Puerh tea cannot expire
This is so beautiful. Which part of china is this?❤
I talk to my koi fish every morning and before bed and they act exactly like that awe
Thank you very very much for sharing this 🙏
Did dis dude just did dis
Hello my fine tea expert and guide trough the leaves and water. I would like to tell a tea story, regarding the magnificent global tea hut subscription. The most recent, the spring teas, thre was one,the silver needle, which you described as the best you ever had. I tasted it,and this confirms my suspicions. Silver needle is a visual delight to the eye,and nose. Once it is steeped,it reveals its overrated status. I will drink a Shou Mei over silver needle every time. Shou Mei and me,we have a most lovely relationship,in regards to the cha chi that it offers up. Silver needle is a mere promise,to the eyes and nose, but it steeps dissapointingly,a legend, exposed as a fraud. Silver needle is luxury seeking emptiness.
Sorry you were disappointed. If you have some left, try it leaves in a bowl. This Silver Needle is from ancient trees in Wuliang, not Fuding. We find it to have extremely potent Qi. It is the best white tea we have ever tried, including next to our own organic Bodhisattva, which is white tea from Fuding with bigger leaves. In the end, though, if it is not "your cup of tea" maybe Bodhisattva will be. But a Silver Needle from old-growth trees In Yunnan but processed by a Fuding master is a rare treasure, indeed....
That cave tea with those monks sounds craaazy cool. Is that still around?
Will you be bringing back the gongfu tea series? I really enjoyed the video on tea history, and I would love for you to explore the more abstract aspects of tea more!
Wow, I've never seen whisked puerh before! This is like a hybrid of Chinese and Japanese tea ceremonies.
this is so beautiful and creative and evocative too. thank you for sharing it with us.
How do they clear their palates between teas?
This is so cool, is the tea essentially boiled in the water?
What were the characters signed into the back?
Thank you for staying true and realistic, as beginner tea head im soo overwhelmed with all the expensive teaware, and money here is not even a biggest issue ,for me im asking myself question,is my palet even going to notice the difference in test,am i experience enough to get all the benefits out of that tool? Probably no,i thing beginner is better off spending money on all the tea he can and test them in pure form, than play with the kettles.
I have a puerh brick, probably machine pressed. But I'll try this method.
So peaceful.
Breathtaking.
There are four springs near me I can drive and fill up at :) all great, but the subtle differences are there.
Nice 👍
Beautiful video. Tea has always felt special to me and I never knew why until recently when I found global tea hut. I always had to use a pot and warm it and set a tray with all the teacups. I always loved the sound of the water heating to a boiling point. No one else I know ever seemed to hold it in such reverence as me. Now I think at nearly 70 years old I just found my tribe 😂
That was a beautiful story about the fisherman. Thank you 🙏
Can you make a video on how to use the new kettle? Since it can’t be used on any heat source besides alcohol and a little bit of charcoal, I would like to know its purpose as it doesn’t boil the water
Hi. You should take our Gongfu Course online. This kettle is only for gongfu tea. The water is boiled in another (usually larger) kettle and this is just used to maintain temperature and to pour. A smaller, lighter kettle of this quality material as the last step before steeping makes a huge difference.
This video was beautiful and fascinating. Thank you 🙏
What I'd really like to know is how many Tea Sessions do you have per day? Thanks for another great video! 👌
short answer: as many as possible!
Results video?
Ive been appreciating your videos. Thank you for producing them. I noted a few things you said on this video that were scientifically incorrect. There were other things that were spot on. I think you may benefit from a couple of courses in chemistry and physics. When water goes from solid and freezing to melted into liquid, then to gas and boiled, the water goes through a phase transition. The water doesnt break down into hydrogen and oxygen. But every thing you said about carbon monoxide was accurate and a great warning because CO is dangerous indoors.
Thank you for the compliments and corrections. Hopefully, the mistakes don't get in the way of making the video useful to you in some way
Is it acceptable to use a Chaozhou stove for non clay kettles like tetsubin?
tetsubins can go on charcoal indeed.
I'm not a "gear" guy at all, but your set is stunning sir.
Fantastic content. Learning so much with you guys! My current setting for heating water is a small alcohol stove (Trangia). It takes about 10 minutes to boil 1 liter of water, but I dont' know if that is enough "Marshall heat" / fast enough. Then I use the same stove with the adjustable lit to keep in warm throught the session. Would that heating process be better than infrared or worst? Thanks in advance!
I could smell this ❤
What tea and who is the cultivar?
Very cool
This makes me so happy to see. Thank you for bringing new life to these precious vessels.
❤
A fine video, full of wisdom, passion, and years of experience. Presumably,I have missed out on this fascinating Oolong, but that’s ok,as long as others had the opportunity to boogie😅
Wait.... several infusions from the same leaves? Im used to discarding my Tetley British Blend bags after one use😅 I have a lot to learn!
Teabags are meant to be steep once, loose leaves can be steep a lot more time!
Happy New Year to all of you! I have some doubts. What teas can I drink using bowls? Could it be green teas? oolongs, black.. Which ones are used? Another question... There is a necessary infusion time, and seeing the leaves still in the water while drinking the tea left me a little confused. What I'm used to seeing is the consumption of tea without the leaves in the cup, respecting the necessary infusion time. If you can explain it to me. Thank you for all the content!! 💚
good !!
So moved to see this master craftsman creating something to demonstrate the art for us. It’s just stunning. It makes me appreciate the yixing pots more than ever. I can see now why they cost what they do too (assuming they are all handmade, not mass produced in molds). Thank you for making this video and sharing this process with us.
ok, I make one now
Thank you for video 🙏 Raising a bowl 🍵
Where did you buy your tea set?
Hey Wu... 😘😘😘😘😘😘😘 😉
exceptionally beautiful. thank you
