In my gut this feels 100% wrong. Even if I was a 1000 drop para expert No matter what my child fascination with parachuting I would never let her do it with me even if she begs with tears. People need to understand that kids are not mature enough to understand danger and consequences. All they see is adventure beyond the fantasy of their immature minds, not the danger and the ability to process and appreciate that so early in their lives. This is too unnatural, just because we have the technology to prevent our imminent deaths from a fall, doesn’t mean we should go out testing that capability with everybody and everything in any situation. The trouble with humanity is we are too self indulgent, and is the reason we come into conflict with nature and ourselves.

So this is so awesome I always love stories that deal with dads who take Responsibility for the kids they bring into this world it’s very touching and so awesome to see. I can say my dead beat dad took off on 4 boys and his wife to then give his fruit to Bare another son who then passed away at the agar of 21 but before that he Adopted a girl while his wife struggled to put food on the table for her four sons and one step daughter. The lies he must of told along the way to his new family as you all hear in my voice I’m still hurt even after all theses years he has passed and now life goes on . So with that said I always happy to see fathers who know their place and not push it out of their life.

My husband got to skydive with his Dad when he was really young. He says he remembers bits & pieces of the jumps, But I would never allow one of our children to do that Not in a million years. A young childs head/neck is not as strong as an adult man's and That little girls head/neck snaps back very violently into her Dads chest when the main opens. Could Dad not have held her head back or did Dad not think about that?

Just curious. Is there any specific reason why the US doesn't allow underage people to jump even with parental consent?

Hello, first I want to congratulate your brave Princess, I have practiced bungee jump before jumping with a parachute, I can say that the sensation I experienced was one of the strongest in my life. I think jumping with a 5 year old is very irresponsible. ❤🙏🏽

I'm extremely divided between commending the dad's initiative to build his daughter's confidence and calling same dad utterly irresponsible for risking her life. Now is this statistically safer than driving on a highway? Maybe it is. Whatever.
