Easy. She was already married to the blue shirt but met red shirt and left blue shirt for him then red shirt went to prison and she went back go blue shirt until red shirt got out of prison, but not before blue shirt joined the crips and red shirt obviously the bloods. They knew they could never be together, but they made love one last listening to Nickleback and exchanged thier matching baseball caps before going back to rival gang members while she eats her ice cream on the couch.
