Breaking Burque

Breaking burque will be about gardening and houseplants mostly. Tips for planting and growing in the desert and how I propagate plants. It will also include some improvement projects, simple crafts and whatever else that I remember to pick up the camera for. I want to show another side of my hometown, Albuquerque New Mexico. Name = breaking from a well known show where abq was almost a character. Burque is what locals call Albuquerque. Originates from old spelling of Alburquerque. The first r was lost at some point.
Palm Tree Unboxing: Blue Bahia Ordata Jubaea, Silver/blue Splendens Hybrid
I’ve ordered palm trees before but they never arrive intact. Usually the leaves are bent or the heart is crushed. This one suffered some damage to the box but was packaged beautifully. This is a cold Hardy hybrid and should thrive without winter protection. With ordering live plants it’s best to open asap and check for best bugs or damage. This tree looks great and will hopefully go into the ground after some slight acclimation. It was grown in Florida then boxed and shipped to New Mexico to prevent burn I will slowly reintroduce it to full sun conditions.

The pups are getting big and growing fast. They are all mainly on soft dog food and treats at this point. Nursing is less, after getting their shots they can build their own immune system and not have to rely on the mother milk for that protection. They are five and a half weeks old and purebred English bulldogs.

Yes, they usually have to be cold Hardy varieties or you need to take precautions from the cold like wrapping it.
