I'm using BigDebuffs and Threat Plates. You need to disable some settings of nameplates and buffs+debuffs in each addon in order to avoid clash, otherwise your will see double stun, double fear and so on..

I don't know about guides, but will try to help you if you will tell me class.

I was also 22k health mage and never get this amount on crits on me. This is about right build and follow up ability usage. You can check my another videos in order to make sure that I'm not hunting low gear players, just sharing right build and helpful tools. In my latest video there is 40k health priest and still got 2 shotted, so no a big difference. Thank you for your comment.

Yea, that's about trash fights (fire mage), but arcane mage should be crazy in terms of dps

mage doing just fine at the top in a lot of encounters

@@MJ-pd2gc currently if you check logs noone is bringing more than 1mage in a raid and they are bottom dps atm.

Yeap, every casted flamestrike is dealing separate damage instead of refreshing previous one, so you can melt anything on your way.

It's a new content which is fun for some period of time. Got new runes, new raids, new pvp events so for some period of time it is fun(if you like to play classic)

Thanks for your comment. I agree, we have fast enemy elimination phase. For now we need to adjust and hope for a different pvp mechanics for next phase.

They are scaling pvp for trash retail andies 😂 sod pvp is as pathetic as retail pvp it says a lot

So, after quitting WoW somewhere into MoP (loved that xpac, just got burned out in general), and just picking it back up again after about 10 years, I can say this when comparing SoD vs retail: As it is right now, I would much prefer the pvp in retail. I feel like being able to at least survive long enough to be able to use a couple CD's in a fight is important for pvp to be fun. Tbh, I just would generally prefer almost anything over 10 second fights that SoD currently offers.@@clerniaz131

In my point of view, frost is best option with 3/5 winter chill effect

Thanks for you comment. It's not difficult to play against paladin or Shaman if you are tracking freedom cooldown and decoy totem. I think alliance (as gnome mage) got advantage, because we can remove slow effect which is very important against melee class + as gnome mage we have more mana, which means more dps (5% int racial passive). Horde is outnumbering alliance, but with decent group all should be good

Im gonna try out a spellfrost build, not going for improved frostbolt but focusing on spellfrost and downranked frostbolt + improved blizz, with brain freeze, Fingers of frost, ice lance and Living flame/icy veins. Living flame i heard is good with imp blizz, and icy veins for spellfrost spam. Perhaps also include one of the regens for health combo with spellfrost. Gonna see how it turns out. I know living bomb/ Living flame, and fire and arcane 3min are great, but want to test some other combos with frost. Also I would imagine Improv Blizz is amazing at STV event for massive CC? Ever tried?

Hello, thanks for you comment! For enemy nameplates and debuffs on top I'm using - Threat plates + bigdebuffs. Weakauras I'm using to track incoming fears and procs. Always using improved blizzard as frost mage, but going like 2/3, if you are fighting few targets, it's very good to slow them down. You don't have to go full healing build, because you will lose lot of procs and will appear without mana very fast. Try to use regen with spellfrost bolt. You can check all the weakauras/macros/addons/talent variations in my small discord, you can also import profiles from there which i'm using atm. Yes I have tried blizzard on STV, it's very good, but you need good caster group for that with healer.

trying to sheep or shoot rank 1 frost bolt straight away, it's very important to slow down enemy. After rank 1 frost bolt>living bomb>scorch>fire blast to make him panic. When melee will get closer we need to cone of cold him in order to hold blink/nova and bite to use global. After that we need to trade nova/blink or even iceblock in order to keep advantage. It's very situational, but you must keep in mind that enemy must be always slowed and ranged should be always on maximum distance in order to avoid - stun/fear/root/life drain. It's like deadzoning them, when enemy is trying to come closer, move back and spam fastest ability (Rank 1 frostbolt/Blast/Rank 1 cone of cold). You need to always apply Ice armor and after fight with enemy(if he is caster) swap on mage armor, because it's gonna decries damage receiving. There are lot of situational moments which is difficult to say like this. Clip some video and let's review it together in discord(or screen share) and we can find out.
