After using CZcams merely as an easy way to get videos onto Twitter and elsewhere, the time has come to do it properly.
Old videos will be re-edited and new ones will be produced.
Little experimental detail is given as it can all be found on the chemistry section of our website. www.sserc.org.uk
Warning - most of the experiments here are suitable for carrying out only by experienced chemists. They should not be attempted by those lacking sufficient knowledge or safety equipment.

ostwald process is an industrial process how tf are u doing it in the lab mf
The video was perfect. Thank You!>
Just woke up from a dream where I threw a pinch of sodium onto the stove and it all started popping into white sparks. I guess my dreaming mind got the detail of white fire right but not the high melting and burning point lol.
CaCo3 ---------> CaO + CO2 CaO + H2O -----------> Ca(OH)2 *Ca(OH)2 + CO2 --------> CaCO3 + H2O* !!!
Great, I wish you had done Rubidium to illustrate the sheer power of the reaction preferably in a safety chamber!
How much temperature require for this process.
This helped our class! Thank you!
Great video. Can you inform us what does the potassium manganate partial decomposition product itself decompose to on further heating?
For 200 ppm p content oil test
Nice explanation
❤❤
Thanks for posting. Most other entries do not exceed 720p in quality.
the way potassium had sparks kinda turn me on…
blud men kissing turns me on
0:16 the guy spunds cute 😊😊😊😊😊😊
i like kissing hot men
This was very informative thank you mister definetly subsciribing!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
alr lil bro
one little tip for those who want to try: if you can not dissolve most of the copper oxide, you can dry it and then burn it with strong fire. then its mocule structure would become loose and then easier to be dissolved.
Some of the words are very difficult to hear, words for chemicals. It would gave been good if the chemical names were shown in text form.
What did you use as the universal indicator? Was it bought ready-made? Or did you make it yourself? What was the methods and ingredients list if you made the universal indicator yourself?
You can use calsium carbonat for prevent heat
This help me on my science homework! Thank you very much!😁😁😁
So is this what calcium carbonate tables are made from ?
Is that thermocol you are using?
Excellent explanation ❤
2:20 Potassium metal makes a pentagram star shape!
DR STONE
If I were to make a constructive observation, using a micropipette for small volumes would be more precise than a transfer pipette. The standard curve would be more accurate at the end.
Thanks for the video.
wow
Water vapur coming out as hydration rxn is ___________....I didn't get it..Please tell
Reaction is very exothermic
2:20 when your sodium starts summoning Satan
It is endo thermic
Do we use methanol instead of ethanol?
Great
Hi, may I ask what is the solvent used here? Thank you in advance.
How much heat is released
Awesome
How did you prepare the Bromothymol Blue solution?
At the end you should watch crystals by distilled water and dry between filter paper as Dr.sara says
How do you know that the magnetic material is iron and not iron oxide? Fe(3)O(4) - "magnetite" - is attracted to a magnet, as the name suggests.
Asked myself the same thing
A fair question. Something I'm going to look into. To be honest, this is adapted from an experiment by the RSC who said it was iron and I took them at their word . . . but I remain to be convinced - If I have any joy, I'll let you know.
is it dangerous to sniff the smoke? Probobly right
İ inhaled hydrogen and sodium (gaseous) at the same time when i always drop it into water:it can make you cough a little but that's it.İ do not sadly know how pure sodiumoxide can affect you+it CAN also have of course Sodiumnitride because our air is more than 70% nitrogen
The bubble freezing would be exothermic....? Just wondering?
I think the product is Na2O2 (sodium-peroxide), not Na2O...
Ya bcoz,it burns at room temperature
Its na20
Mam the product is Na20 ,we think the product should be Na2O2 at higher temp but this require more conc of Oxygen but when Oxygen is not there in higher conc.,the product would be Na20 at higher temp also.
@@arushika455Mam room temp is 20 to 25 degree celcius and sodium melt at 98 degree celcius. You can saw in this video clearly.Watch the video and clear the facts
@@dikshantsharma7494yup your equation is correct
Inorganic test
Hi, I have a question. What is the drawback of this method ?
Would it have the same reaction if the wooden splint was placed on a different gas
very chemistry
why CO not produce?😩
it did but since it's a gas u can not see it
That disclaimer at the start🤭 Completely exposed me🙄
