From your location, go up Camp Bullis Rd, make a right turn on Babcock. Look to your left (before you hit an apartment complex). There is a gnarly trail. Chunk as hell. Back in the 90s when that area was still country we would take those trails, following the power lines, to San Antonio Ranch on the other side of Helotes, and all the way to Government Canyon before it was even open to the public.Thats what Bush Hill reminds of. Still in it's raw state and not yet been manicured. Those were the best trail rides. Still are. Hell I remember when Eisenhower Park was off limits to bikers. But did that stop me??? 😂

Air mattresses are nice for warm weather but poor insulation. Try a sleep pad with high r value and you’ll be much warmer

There's stuff there that is more techy. Also, you were on The Luge all the way back down, not Haggis or Scouts.

I went on a Monday morning, it was overcast and nobody was around…perfect! I took the Wilderness Trail from Lot 2 and banged a right onto Spring Branch, took a left on to the Overlook Trail, descended back down Wilderness back to the Wilderness Trail. Took Wilderness all the way around by Ice Cream and ended on Bandera Creek Trail. Overall great place, loose rock made climbing impossible. Bandera Creek Trail sucked ass full of ticks in tall grass and rode through a massive spider web. Spring branch had some tight spots with pokey plants

How much you pay for electricity and water?

Great flick and setup. My truck (ram rebel) has a 5'7" bed. Should I purchase the 6' tent to accomodate the tailgate being down or is that taken into account with the 5'5" tent. Any other recommendations? Thx for your time.

I was up there in April of the 2023 Had the same planes/jets flying over. One my all-time favorite lakes. Usually take the pontoon across the lake and find a cove to camp for the 4 to 5 day weekend.
