My bulldog has long quiks. His nails look long but if we cut short, they would bleed! Please should not comment! He is beautiful!

I know you guys take very good care of Mr. Roo. My dog's nails are the same way. They are naturally long and black nails. I can only take her to the pros at the vet too. Those people are just trippin. They need to mind their own business. It's obvious that he is always being cared for. Sweet dreams to Mr Roo! Hugs to you guys!

I had to take Pebbles who crossed the Rainbow Bridge several years ago to the vet to get her nails trimmed.otherwise it was a wrestling match to be able to do it myself. My Maggie now is not a fan butt tolerates it pretty well. I use a battery powered Dremel tool that I in the pet department at Walmart . Works great takes about 10 minutes or so .

Our Bulldog Screams like a sissy, tries to bite, throws himself on his back and kicks , plays dead at the mention of cutting his nails. He goes to the vet every month and behaves like a gentlemen for them. His nail grow very fast . We do try to take very good care of him. His nick name is BRATDOG if that tells you anything. I bet Ruben is pretty spoiled and loved for his quirky personality also.

I can't believe anyone would make comments about Reuben's nails/care. He is waiting on hand and foot. I, too, think Rue's nails have nothing to do with his level of activity. He is Lord Bulldog. Enough said. Cat's having staff are nothing compared to Lord Reuben's requirements.

Ruben seems to have a touch of the old bulldog cherry eye. Our bulldog didn't like getting his nails clipped either so we had to bribe him. No car ride to go get a fried egg out of a breakfast sandwich until after his nails were done. It worked every time, even if he did spend the entire nail clipping staring at the ceiling. 😉

Just imagine if we would be unable to reach our hiny to take care of it like Reuben! So frustrating!

Mike, I often joke in my comments, but to be serious, you don’t have to explain how you all take care of Roo. For us true, long-term fans, it’s obvious how well Roo is cared for and loved.
